The Doobies hit songs were everywhere on the radio when I was a teenager in the 70's. It was part of the music culture, at house parties, driving in the car, at the park, part of the air we breathed! 😊

As a 62 year old musician,it gives me a smile to see in these videos of the old rockers still performing- I HATE the term "classic rock"- that,no matter who the band is,there are always teenagers,or even younger,in the crowd,loving the music.Good taste transcends age.
@laoluu
@laoluu 3 жыл бұрын
What do you think is wrong with the term "classic rock"? I think it just describes a certain style or genre of - BTW - great music. I have a collection of about 300 CDs of Classic Rock, and I love them all!
@LarsDcCase
@LarsDcCase Ай бұрын
Nothing wrong with the term Classic Rock. THis describes rock music at it's best. That era of great rock music is gone. Nothing out there today compares to that music. It was simple, described great times, and usually had a message that most could relate to.

For a few years now, since we’re able to find and listen to pretty much any of the favorite music that has meant so much to us over the years anytime we want, I listen to music again, now, mostly at night. And this band’s music is what I listen to most often, especially The Captain and Me; I love the original era of the band the best. I realize now the amazing power music has for so many good things. Thanks for the Music Doobies!! And thanks for including the phase-shift over the entire band-when I first heard that as a young teen on the original album, I went out and bought one, and used it over and over in my early music career. Now, hearing this song played live by the original musicians (smiling and having so much fun) and seeing the people's joy, it all brought back deep emotions of what I felt the first time I heard it 50+ years ago. Then when I heard that phase-shift just now on the entire band, it brought tears to my eyes and a big lump in my throat and tremendous joy in my heart. Thanks for this song, and for all your music...you guys are the best.

A song of Clint's that echos your sentiment about time travel is State of Mind. Very much worth a listen.. Ain't it funny how a melody can bring back a memory Take you to another place in time Completely change your state of mind It can make a right from a wrong, it can make you fall in love It can get you singin' along Chase the clouds away and make the sun shine above
