Great example of how many excellent voices were part of their harmony structure. This was on the Taking It To The Streets album and featured Pat Simmons and Tom Johnston on vocals, Mike McD on keyboards, Jeff Baxter on guitar and Tiran Porter, one of the most underrated musicians ever.

1978, I’m 9, the next door neighbor late teens working on their 68 Camaro a 77 Trans AM and they used to play so much great rock n roll but they played the hell out of the Doobies. They tried to get me to try the doobies a little later. Great memories! Great reaction guys as usual!

I saw a interview with Tiran Porter and he said they're best songs like this and Long Train Running came live on stage and Pat would start a riff, Tiran would jump in and the drummers were solid. Tom would start riffing lyrics and the manger would record it to replay them in the studio and NEW Song was the end result

What most folks don't know about Jeff Baxter is what he does aside from being one of the most accomplished guitarists of our time. Most recently, Jeff has worked as a defense consultant and has advised U.S. members of Congress on National missile defense. Who would of thunk this of the Skunk!?!
