One of Morrison's best songs --- really captures his ambivalence about the love street movement. He saw the lack of drive and aimless future, yet he still yearned for and cried out for that coming together, just "One more time....."

Have been a Doors fan for as long as I can remember. Jim lived on the edge and tested the boundaries of life, reality and the status quo. Yes, he died way to young but his impact will last forever. No one gets out of Alive. If we are lucky, we might be somewhat sane when we all break on through to the other side.

Hands down, still one of the best rock tunes. I believe I ever heard. I can still remember the first time I heard Morrison I was too young to understand everything he was trying to convey to the world at large. As I grew up and began to understand what he was trying to say to all of us. I learned to appreciate the singer, who became the legend.

I saw Morrison perform this song with the Doors in 1968 at the old Boxing Arena in Philadelphia while he faced a huge American flag permanently affixed to the wall of that venue. The cops were so angry at the blatant political implications (plus the adoration of the women in the audience), it looked as if they were going to explode with fury. The ticket prices that night ranged from $3.00 - 5.00 (tops!).

I read that his GF Pam had an abortion in Paris. I think that is a travesty for destroying a child of Jim Morrison, if it was indeed his child. There's also people who said she fooled around on him. I wish Jim had donated to a sperm bank, even though they probably weren't available then. Can we get some DNA and clone him?

Jim Morrison was one of the first to both touch and inspire me in my yondering days as a lad. Here I am in September of 2024 and I cannot believe that I have survived this long!! I was there for the love, the energy, the drugs and the madness that we embraced in the 60's and 70's into the 80's. We had something Really Special but all genius is touched with insanity as Jim's life will bear out and it was left up to us to find our way through the maze. They said Morrison was a genius and so he was as expressed in his music. Jim didn't make it, but I will see him on the other side soon-and I won't be late. He left a legacy that few could touch and I was privileged to have seen and known it. This song was one of his best that still fires me up and brings MEMORIES!! Thanks Jim, see you soon!

Hour & 10 minutes of non stop Phenominal Doors & all 4 of them at their absolute best!!! IF ye have not heard it yet, man....turn it on now!!! Too much garbage today. No good raw music any more. Just over-produced hacks like Bieber, Miley, etc, folks nobody will be talking about in thirty-forty years -unlike the Doors, Hendrix, Janice. I was in grade school in the 60s so I wasn't aware of any of this at the time. I came of age with David Cassidy and the like. My husband says the Doors were very popular with the GI's when he was in Vietnam....
