Jim Morrison was one of the first to both touch and inspire me in my yondering days as a lad. Here I am in September of 2024 and I cannot believe that I have survived this long!! I was there for the love, the energy, the drugs and the madness that we embraced in the 60's and 70's into the 80's. We had something Really Special but all genius is touched with insanity as Jim's life will bear out and it was left up to us to find our way through the maze. They said Morrison was a genius and so he was as expressed in his music. Jim didn't make it, but I will see him on the other side soon-and I won't be late. He left a legacy that few could touch and I was privileged to have seen and known it. This song was one of his best that still fires me up and brings MEMORIES!! Thanks Jim, see you soon!

I'm 68 now and never had the privilege of seeing the Doors. They move me still today too and bring back amazing memories. I saw a comment that a Rambo movie brought them here lol. What brought me here today was the Bishop who gave a sermon at the inauguration of the trump. I didn't watch any of it, but I saw a clip of the Bishop speaking directly to our new pres and vp. I thought her words were kind and encouraging and very polite and restrained, yet our thin-skinned pres called her nasty and all sorts of mean and vicious things. Typical that he'd respond to loving words of encouragement to be merciful and understanding with hateful pettiness. Anyway, in this song, they sing, "they got the guns but we got the numbers." And we really do have the numbers... The GOP has spent decades disenfranchisinng millions of voters and have increased efforts to block voting all sorts of ways, but we still have the numbers. They just have to find a way to make their voices heard again. MAGA is not the majority of Americans, not even close. This song also says, "we're taking over!" and God I hope this is true! I needed to hear some Doors, one way or the other!

I saw Morrison perform this song with the Doors in 1968 at the old Boxing Arena in Philadelphia while he faced a huge American flag permanently affixed to the wall of that venue. The cops were so angry at the blatant political implications (plus the adoration of the women in the audience), it looked as if they were going to explode with fury. The ticket prices that night ranged from $3.00 - 5.00 (tops!).

Jim Morrison is the definition of rebellious rock n roll. They say Elvis was, meh he was just a mainstream pretty boy who was about looks and succumbed to major labels that put him in the spotlight and made rock famous(which I thank him for, rock n roll specifically rock music is my favorite genre of music don’t get me wrong. He has many great songs RIP bro) But Jim was (looking back), the one frontman here who took it to a place of rebellion filled with driven angst and attitude u later would find in sub genres of rock n roll like punk and metal imo. He even influenced Iggy and the Stooges with their crazy stage show they brought to their music \m/ thanks Jim Morrison RIP bro!

jim was a true poet... he understood words and there play on each other... never has there been another jim or other greats like even Janis... first time I heard doors was 92 I was 11 listened to my sisters albums yeah wow I remember when there were record companies no more... but you can be free create your own world... the world thinks oh hes crazy but check this your not hurting anyone just giving them the option to think man wow that's whats dangerous to some to have there own thoughts...

I never heard of Cruela. No kids at home. I hope who ever composed it made some coin. Not just Disney.
