Why? You cant hear the Kalamazoo (you never could, because it wasn't the Vox). You can't hear anything. Ray never played the recorded version of LMF because he didn't pay proper attention to the actual bass player who played the lower octave against Ray's desperately inadequate bass piano. Completely different pattern there. A better one. Sorry he never learned from that recording. PS. And it's not "a recording." It's a slapdash mix of ideas and non-ideas. It's basically boring compared to the recorded version.

I saw the Doors in San Diego but not sure of the sure of the exact date. Stadium seating allowed me to get within a few feet of the stage. I have as yet unseen (by anyone other than my family) close-up pictures of all of the band. I'm not sure how to share them with the world.

Bought this album like 20 years ago. They really wanted LMF on Absolutely Live but Paul did not like any of the live versions. It is cool to hear but Jim was sick of this song and you can tell his heart was not in it.
@billyidol79312 жыл бұрын
From listening to the last six minutes of that, it's obvious that the Detroit crowd was typical Detroit, and they were going a little crazy and probably fucked up the soundboard. They had to make sure the damn thing was working right before they could continue. Jim was asking everybody not to knock over the table with all the lights and stuff. LOL.

Wow, you really know stuff man. Do you know about their side trip to Toronto in 67'. We saw them in a house in Yorkville. We didn't know they were the Doors but it was a small show and we watched from the street. We were coming down from acid and he looked like a giant king snake curling around the microphone stand with no shirt and black leather pants. My friend, Little Root, who was a musician said that he thought they were going to go somewhere. That was then and this is now and Jim is here.

@@711-j5j that's very interesting, because Jim was only spotted topless in the famous Bowl gig rehearsal, at least evidents exist. and never on gigs.

@@anthonyk8027 I think he is referring to The Doors live at the CBC studios in Toronto where they were flown direct from LA to perform one song The End. The local Yorkville kids were invited. Fantastic clip, they never looked or sounded better.
