t song I ever bought when this & LA Woman were still charting in Australia as a double A side. One of the best decisions I ever made musically was to buy this single. Ist album was The Who Live At Leeds at 14yrs old too & now 51 years later I still absolutely adore this song, 'Riders On The Storm' perhaps with 'The End' & 'When The Music's Over' & all are my favorite Doors songs because each has moved me in different ways spiritually. The Doors & acid in really strong doses can't be separated in my world. Jim didn't die, he just changed Avatar's

A super version emphasizing the back beat to resonate on a sentient level as an out of body experience. The Doors did that with their floating back beat enhancing the frequency of existence. Morrison's end came intentionally. And that's when we lost the resonance of his music that set it apart from the silly love songs we grew up with.
