So glad you are loving the doors. Try The Unknown Soldier from Waiting for the Sun lp. For something psychedelic try Fire from the Crazy World of Arthur Brown.

Jim Morrison was definitely a changeling and he is/was an old soul, for sure.

On the radio they played Jim saying: I am the Lizard King, I can do anything. And then the DJ butted in and said "yeah, but survive." RIP Jim Morrison among the first 3 members of the 27 club. 😥

Jerry Scheff is the bass player on The Changeling from the L.A. Woman album. Jerry was Elvis Presley's bassist. Gives The Changeling somethin' special. Bassist for The King and the Lizard King.

I read Jim was really starstruck and excited about Scheff.

"Riders on the Storm" exists because of his bass line. If you play, pick up guitar and just play that bass line. Its simple, Its odd, But it makes the song. I never would have thought of it.

The Spy is a really good song, well-written and the arrangement and production (thanks to Paul A. Rothchild) are perfect for it. As cool as it sounds in isolation, taken in context of the song order on side 2 of Morrison Hotel, it's even better.

Yeah so I need how the the Spy is from Morrison Hotel and the changeling is from the last album with Jim LA Woman both absolutely Monumental records yeah that Ray Man's Eric doing that crazy I don't know what you call it Honky Tonk Boogie Woogie type piano on the spy and Robby Krieger bending all those notes on the guitar just wow and then the changeling almost had kind of a funk feel to it you know okay my man

A young native's soul entered Jim's body on a highway when travelling cross country with his family from Florida to LA. Lyrics like ghost's crowd the young child's fragile egg shell mind elude to this..He became a Shaman...An American Poet.

Morrison around the time when The Doors recorded this album was looking at hard time i.e., prison in Florida for public indecency. That was the charge the DA was pushing. I don't think it happened, but that's part of the reason his voice sound bluesy.

Been going down the rabbit hole of your doors videos lol the doors are so great. Beat poetry acid lounge jazz. But, are you experienced? ( ever do any....Jimi Hendrix? ) Voodoo Chile (the blues version first on electric ladyland) is an epic track, doesn't get enough love. I think it's right up your alley if you're interested in psychedelia lol

I saw a reaction you did to The Soft Parade and you were comparing that song to The End. I thought OMG he's never heard "When the Music's over".(the long piece at the end of the 2nd album). ITS BETTER THAN BOTH OF THEM. In my opinion. The whole second album is great. Other doors that will blow you away are: 1 The Celebration of the Lizard- from album Absolutely Live. 2 Who do You Love - Absolutely Live. 3. Who Scared You- Rarities 4. Texas Radio and The Big Beat- LA Woman 5. 1969 Public Television Studio Concert Avoid--- Live Hollywood Bowl, and Live Isle Of Wight. Crap. Lots of other live Doors out there

I noticed that you haven't done Santana yet. He is a legend and is know for his silky guitar style that is uber-tasty. His clssic stuff like Black magic Woman is great but what I think YOU will really groove to is a couple gems of the hypnotizing Caravanserai album. "All the Love in the Universe" and Song of the Wind" rarely reacted to but always a home run! Savage jams!

Hey man! I don't know if you accept reaction requests, but I HIGHLY recommend you take a look at In Held 'Twas In I by Procol Harum (specifically, the version with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra). The ending to this song will leave you completely speechless, I guarantee it.

So i m guessing that was recorded from a live concert ? If you go to a bar or pub where there s a live rock band you ll hear some covers like pink Floyd or toto or April Wine but i never seen a band play some Procol H. But i m a old timer from the 70s the peace & Love era !
