John, I’m currently reading you book Unhinged. I doubt you check KZbin comments but my spirit felt compelled to thank you for standing up for yourself, the art, and Jim. I’ve almost been brought to tears a couple of times while reading. Your music is extremely important to me. A close friend, a music brother & former bandmate, died recently at 41 yo. He really turned me onto you guys decades ago. Thru my grieving I replay this is the end. I’m most appreciative for your sharing ur experience in ur book. Thank you John, sending love and respect

Thank you from my heart John for your contribution to what became the soundtrack of my life. From my home in the ancient and sacred great southern land I travelled to Portugal, I travelled to Spain, I travelled to Paris and thanked Jim where he lay.

Thank you so much, John Densmore! For the music and wisdom, For the wonderful beats, For standing up for Jim! Jimitators can't do this, There was more than just singing, There was the soul that was crying, There was poetry flying! There was the fire of miracle, Where the four of you were so real And unreal and powerful! Thank you so much, John Densmore!

My generation esteems John Bonham, Ginger Baker, & Keith Moon as revolving "greatest"- no contest, they are great; however, John Densmore must be included in that 'club'- all are unique, & Mr. Densmore is musical in a way that can't be beat, & was perfect for the other Doors. In other words, there would be no Doors, no Jim Morrison as we know him, without the musicality, sensitivity, & skills of Mr. John Densmore. I admire him as a person & a musician.

It irritates me to no end when Densmore don't even appear in Rolling Stones Top100 drummers I love you brother John. I've never heard The Doors NOR John play live the same way!

Jimitaters...None of them have any kind of poetic depth...no mystery or word puzzles of new frontiers.
