The Don Bosco School Liluah film, 'The Doorway' incorporates the theme of time as well as the topic 'dream weaver'.
Set in a dystopian country where insomnia runs rampant and people yearn for a peaceful sleep, Nik dreams to make this dream come true. Enraged and fueled by his father's untimely death, he concocts what his father could not create - a dream weaver. Reading the letter left by his father one last time, he drinks this elixir of sleep.
As his eyes open and he jolts back up sensing deja vu, he wonders: Is this the place he used to dream of? Or is it time's endless chain that got the better of him?
"Individuals driven by vengeance are prone to err more frequently than those fueled by genuine passion for their craft. It is passion that delineates true excellence."
This is in line with the Indian education system wherein parents want their children to become the things they could never be. Students are shunned aside if they want to pursue a passion other than what society deems fit. In the end, a passionate worker will win over a forced one.
