I had a similar experience on a short vid a few years back with the box shape and obviously the Pentatonic a little so I've been able to apply them together to kinda solo in key up the neck in bluesy rock backings and random stuff on the radio or with dad since...this will give me another trick {;o)

Back in the seventies I read an article in Guitar Player (remember magazines?) about this pattern written by Jeff Baxter. I don't recall the "Dorian" term being used then. I would go to this in an Eagles, BTO, Mott the Hoople or some such cover song and even the drunks in the bar would look up and go Wha? Great tip. Subscribed.
