You should have carried on past Weymouth after Portland and take the road out past Abbotsbury. A lovely road on a bike to ride. When you get to Bridport, head for Seaton and Beer and have breakfast in the cafe on the beach. Nice ride that one.

rimskylee1 I pick up a CBF 1000 on Thursday. My first bike bike and I'm sure I've made the right choice. Maybe I might join you all for a ride out someday although I'm about to relocate to Scotland so maybe if you fellas tour one day I'll join you for a brew and we can share our stories of woe about CBF stator failures. I've read plenty about this problem but it doesn't put me off the bike to be honest. It's a simple fix and one you could probably do at the roadside if necessary. Best regards

Scooty Man congrats on your purchase, you won't be disappointed 🏍👍 I plan to visit Scotland at some point ( maybe next year) I've never been and it's on my list, so yes I'm sure when it happens we can organise a meet up. Anyway in the meantime enjoy your new bike 😃

rimskylee1 drop me a message before you leave and we will have a chat on the phone. I did Scotland last year on a Scooter and I found some great routes to get you up to the top (Durness). Also it's good to share a tale or two and I can give you a few tips of essential items you will need I.e head net for the midges etc. One journey you simply have to do. There's a nice cafe just off Skye at the Kyle of Locailsh. A good breakfast point before you ride the quiraing pass. Best regards
