This is actually quite helpful for developing potential strategies. I appreciate hearing your thought process as events unfold.

I love this style of video! We get great knowledge from your specific guides regarding specific mechanics, but it can be difficult to piece together just how to put it all together and this style of video builds that cohesion. I'm really happy to see the big picture- an edits make it a bit easier to consume. Thank you for the excellent video! Looking forward to part 2!

This is the content I love to see. I don't have the time to watch all your livestreams but love your commentary so edited playthroughs are very much the move.

Definitely liked the format and gameplay of this video! Clearly sticking around in the neolithic era is *super* powerful, at least on the faster game speeds.

Great idea bro. I sometimes hang around to get 11 or 12 scouts and 90 influence, but to get 160 for the 2nd city is not a bad idea

Really like the edited gameplay. Its much easier to digest videos that arent multiple hours long.

Love the edited game play. Have you considered doing an “over-explained” series at normal or slow speed where you go into some detail as to how and why you are doing things.

I always found it odd that the school doesn't get the adjacency when it is placed next to mountains regardless whether they are in your territory or not
@Solomon.R3 жыл бұрын
Adjacency is extraction in this game. If it's not in the same or connected territory the adjacency won't apply for yeilds.
@JumboPixel3 жыл бұрын
it does feel a little odd doesn't it - I could understand it if they were claimed by someone else.. but if they're just sitting there why not study them Zhou?!
@XerxesPrinceOfPersia3 жыл бұрын
@@JumboPixel it would be cool if there was some sort of culture bomb that dynamically changes territories so im not claiming a territory for a couple of mountains on the edge of a city

Jumbo, I loved it, very different than usual but for quick viewing, this was really good. The editing was spot on and you still managed to capture your "live/streaming" energy that makes you so fun to watch! Have you thought about a lil music playing super quiet in the background? Love your stuff! Go Scottstraya forever

I spend a long long time and gather 20+ pops whenever I want to play an unpopular civilization like the Assyrians, because the cpu ALMOST never picks them :). on 'the Assyrians are never good' you REALLY should try them. Just popping out that dundu or w/e on every outpost auto generates so much influence you'll soon have a LARGE amount of influence just by running around. OFC it matters how you play too, I always play on a large map, normal speed and 6-8 players so that gives me enough TIME and SPACE to 'hoover' up the unattached territory to give me enough influence to claim one or more per turn. if playing on a too small map, with too many players so they take up the map quickly, OR on blitz mode (they really need time to get their influence machine going). But based on one of your earliest tips, just land grab in the earliest eras, I think you would LOVE the Assyrians!
@pdraggy3 жыл бұрын
This actually would have been a spectacular Assyrian start. with them you want the militarist tenets and militarist cultures that the CPU (barring the Huns :/ I doubt I'll EVER get my dream combo of the Assyrians -> Huns) really almost never picks, which allows you to 'play' from behind.

The edited gameplay for the tutorial type videos. Although I especially like the longer videos because I am playing Humankind along with them.
@dnaseb92142 жыл бұрын
I always do that, I had no idea it was a strategy. Btw, are there any mods to make the eras last longer ? I tried endless mod, but the eras last the same as normal. Especially the ancient era, where if you pick a culture with a expensive unique unit, you will never get to use it because you dont have the resources and allies dont either. Like hittite chariots with 2 horses and copper.

When attacking Mamuts on Neolitic do it with an army of 3 units or 2, to get the food and pop, when doing it with 4 units, you don't get the extra
@jichnun3 жыл бұрын
stay at the neo for units. get 10-12 atleast and put them inside ur first 2 cities. gives a huge boost. i now see u already used it hahaha. i found this is the winner for humankind/blitz...

You DO have a decent number of Research Quarters, actually - you built a bunch of the Zhou emblematic districts.

So how viable is this strategy? Was it luck of the map, or is this going to be an option consistently? Seems great if you know you're already falling behind a little. I wonder how it would work if you're ahead in stars and eras.
