I agree that Battle Royale as a genre is definitely over-played and it needs to die out. I don't think Fortnite will ever die tho tbh lol, but i hope that Apex and Warzone eventually die off, cus the companies behind those games have just been ruining them for years tbh

But the respawn beacon and team play aspect of Apex is what made it so popular on its release in comparison to Fortnite and PUBG. I remember people universally praising this when it came out so I don't see how I'm wrong with Apex being less special after these systems were stolen by other br's. Only thing I may be wrong about is balancing issues, maybe these aren't as big as I may have made out

The only game i see still going strong for a few more years is fortnite. Fortnite has huge potential 7 years later and the game is still a juggernaut fortnite isn't dying anytime soon.

One of the reasons overwatch 2 was made was because one of the shareholders of blizzard was complaining why it wasn't making as much money compared to Battle Royale's. so they decided to take inspiration with its battle passes from them.

I was very late to the BR genre. Found Fortnite in 2022 and absolutely fell in love with it. Ended up downloading the other 3 from this list (as well as a couple others) and they were just laughably bad compared to Fortnite. The graphics sucked, the first person view was way harder than the 3rd person view Fortnite had. I just didn’t enjoy any of them besides Fortnite.

I believe if Warzone tried to actually be, you know, Warzone instead of relying on constant collabs then it'd bring the old Cod vibes back. But from what I've seen Activision just wants Cod to be Fortnite 2.0 now and days except greedier and hungrier.
