I think a JLo reboot/resurgence would only happen for a select number of reasons: 1.) She does something to get herself cancelled/memed to oblivion- again. 2.) Something happens with her and Ben Affleck's relationship- probably either a break up or a baby. 3.) She gets a role in an actually good movie that is well liked and well received- a la Hustlers. 4.) She goes to therapy and later comes out with a candid and *brutally honest* statement (or maybe a book idk) talking about why she is the way she is. The last one is probably (unfortunately) the least likely to happen imo.

I love how most of JLo’s film roles before Selena are all ignored. She had some bit parts in movies, not totally great, but not worth leaving out. She was in a movie with Robin Williams called “Jack”, directed by Francis Ford Coppola. She was in a pretty solid neon noir with jack Nicholson called “Blood and Wine.” Then, after Selena, she was in “U-Turn” directed by Oliver Stone, “Anaconda” and the very popular “Out of Sight.” The films before Out of Sight were of mixed reviews so I guess that’s why they’re not being brought up.

Just as a side nitpick, the movie is pronounced “G-Li”. The second G is silent. We couldn’t figure it out back in the day either haha As someone alive when that movie came out, the hype train was absolutely ridiculous for this terrible ass film (and it was so bad, I recommend looking up the Cinematic Excrement channel’s review) and was tied into their relationship to. The day the movie was released, J Lo calls off the engagement and I was glad that _Entertainment Tonight_ went back to covering other stories. They’re also the reason why we now do portmanteaus for celeb couples as well as fandom shipping, so there’s also that. 😂

Casper the backup dancer was accused of dating trans women. That’s why JLo broke up with him.
