If the Novi Stars ever gets a reboot, they should do these changes: 1.) Give the dolls more articulation & different body shapes. 2.) Make the lure about aliens giving/recieving massages from Area 51 about themselves & their planets, and be part of an exchange program with selective Earthlings. 3.) Add boy characters/dolls to the line with names like "Mikey Way," "Ozzie Mosis," "Astro Naught", "Lil' Dipper," and so-on. 4. Give the aliens human disguises to help them blend in with Earthlings.

One thing of note about these dolls is that they gained a tiny following in Japan. Maybe because their aesthetics are borderline anime/chibi compared to other western fashion doll lines.

I got una verse, mae tallic, ali lectric, and ari roma for christmas when i was 5. I also have malie tasker, cila clops, tula toned, and nita light. I still have all my novi stars to this day.

me and my sister had ari roma (hers) and allie lectric (mine) but i think we broke the appendages and straight up destroyed them and lost their accessories and what not. found allie's head (only her head) and ari without arms years later.

Finally I found a deep dive video on novi stars! I'm so glad. When I was a kid I used to be obsessed with them but no one seemed to be as interested :( I love how each doll has a fun quirk of their own rather than being just a slightly different copy of each other.. plus the theme song is fire and the webisodes are so funny to me. i wish i had a novi stars doll but the series wasn't that popular in my country 😭 And now a few years later i became an art student and my obsession with the series returned since the theme, character designs and art were so creative and fun!! Novi stars was such an inspiration honestly

I never had any Novi's during the time when it was actually on shelves because I was deemed "too old" for dolls by my mom, but I wanted them and MHs so badly! I did manage to get over her comments a few years later and got a few to add to my collection back in 2020/2021, but the ones I want most are so pricey now!

I have two of these from my childhood. one of them missing an arm and one missing a pet, they also don’t have their stands. They are my favorite doll line ever. So incredibly sad they are so rare and expensive, I want to collect all of them. I played the mini games on their website all the time (pls someone find a way to make alien acres playable again). I watched their webisodes so many times. They are truly such beautiful and well made dolls. I mean how many dolls have inset eyes which designs in them, glittery eyelashes, and have such cool individual features for each character. Also the alien concept art was just so cool.

they're not exactly the same but i think a cool fun line coming out right now are the magic mixies pixlings. they're mini dolls in mystery packaging (but you can tell which character is inside by the color of the gemstone on the bottle) with similar proportions to the novis and they have some beautiful designs (and nylon hair!) but i won't lie, they're also almost obscenely overpriced. $25 dollars for a mini doll with a molded on top and no leg articulation really just does not seem worth it to me, but i guess you also pay for the potion blind box experience. there's a decent amount of hype around them rn from collectors but idk how they'll do at that price point with kids and parents, especially when rainbow high and monster high are at similar prices on store shelves at the same time, so who knows if they'll last
