The Dragon Reborn - Book Review (WoT Book 3)

My name is Alex and these are my thoughts and opinions on book 3 of The Wheel of Time, The Dragon Reborn by Robert Jordan. I hope you all enjoy this review for The Dragon Reborn! I did it, I finally started reading The Wheel of Time. After hearing so much about this series, I have finally taken my first steps on this beautiful journey. I came back to reading in 2020 and have decided to venture into the world of The Wheel of Time and I am enjoying the hell out of it so far.

When Mat decides to go to Tear, I just thought "yup. The last piece of the formula is in place." I'm excited for a shift in structure in the coming books.

Even before we got mats povs in this book, he's just the only person from emonds field I was close to even liking. So this just put him head and shoulders above the rest. But Rand had some hilarious lines actually in this one.

Lanfear and Baalzamon do not like each other much :P I'm amused at what you're loving and not at this point but I'm happy you're still enjoying :) Also amused that you called this 'fast-paced.' There are many descriptors for the Wheel of Time, but fast-paced isn't one I've ever heard used :D.

Can you describe the Perrin/Faile romance as "blossoming"? Basically Jordan just tells us they fall for each other. No development.

I forgot who Faile was until Perrin was saving her and then I was like why do I care?

It was blossoming compared to Lan and Nyneve in book 1. At least Perrin and Faile had a conversation before they fell in love. Lol

Mats( power) has nothing to do with the dagger, being healed of it's effects, allows his tavereness to begin asserting itself.

C'mon, tell me Rand should not have gotten his ass racked in each of the first three books. The Forsaken had a lot of advantages and went about their business like henchmen for Skeletor ("nincompoops", "numbskulls", "fools", "idiots").

Like I mentioned before, Rand keeps just sort of doing things without any control or knowledge. He should probably have died already haha.

You cannot review WOT without spoilers, other wise all you'd get is, it's long and confusing and has a boat load of characters

The dragon reborn felt like a slog to me it took much longer for me the get into this book unlike with the previous two 🥶😴

A long intro where you show off all your pocket books... the only possible reason to show of your books are as a joke if you got a ridiculous amount or if you got a lot of fancy special editions. In the latter case, it would still be annoying.
