So I'm on chapter 15 of 'The Shadow Rising' and had this moment where I was like what the hell is going on, im missing something - I am very terrible with names and it started to get overwhelming. Looking forward to your summaries as a refresher because I was considering actually restarting from book three which would be absolutely crushing and you know you're crushed if you start the WoT during quarantine because it would "keep you busy reading for a few months"

@@WheelofTimelore Did you have trouble with names and locations? Beside a reread did you use any phone apps or other texts for cross referencing?

Definitely! The Aes Sedai are the hardest to remember because there's so many, even now I can't remember what half of their names are. Names that start with the same letter are also hard to remember but this is a problem I have with other series too. Locations where hard at first but I always kept a map of the world on my phone and eventually I got very familiar with it. I made the mistake of googling names and got spoiled big time!! So don't do that.

Honestly I really enjoy book 1-2 and a lot of book 3 But I also started getting bored in book 3. It was starting to feel like it's following a formula. They all get split up but end up coming together at the end just to part ways again. I didn't like anything at the white tower after what happened in book 2. I only have a few more chapters to go then I'll be finished the 4th book. Also after fighting the dark one in the sky in book 2 It doesn't make sense he still has to do I think 14 things to prove he's really the dragon. Should I just keep going or does the things I don't like keep going that way?

I hate$the withe cloaks and usually skip the withe cloak chapters in my re reads. Especially because they remind me so much of the suffering the Catholic church and different monk societies over the ages caused around the world to this day. Zhey really piss me off.
