This was the first time in all my years of playing that I was able to be around for the actual expansion launch. The harbour was crowded and the lag was insane. The boat arrived, a bit late, and we all clamoured on…only for it to disappear right beneath us. It then just…never came back. And the BFA ship was super buggy too, as it kept appearing and then freezing in the distance. Fun times indeed 😂

This expansion is great. Oddly made me love the tuskarrs more, mostly because a quest I did helped me emotionally feel better after feeling depressed.

Meanwhile in Orgrimmar: The zeppelin arrived three minutes after launch and we excitedly boarded to go to the Dragon Isles...only to get stuck in the loading screen before being yeeted back to Orgrimmar and when we tried the portal the hamster died on its wheel, the servers exploded, and everything crashed into a big fiery ball visible from space. It took another hour to a hour and a half to get back on. It was great...

I very much believe everyone is still in the "honeymoon" phase of the expac, like bfa and SL before it, there is a quite funny asmon clip where they put his SL launch and DF launch impressions vid side by side and they say the same thing basically, and we know how SL turned out. The main concern from people is that this could turn into another WoD(in terms of lack of content) very quickly if they slack on the patch schedule

The world is a lot better in this xpac. Nothing feels mandatory, and the stuff I am pursuing feels rewarding. I've also leveled a few characters now, and it's been great with that. Something I disliked about shadowlands, almost instantly, was how broken up everything is. Having to take long flight path flights just to change zones.

2:25 Kakio, this is actually a bug that's been in the game since at least patch 9.2. When you have a second monitor with WoW on the left one, moving your mouse to the right monitor and then back to the left sometimes makes the game think that no matter where the cursor appears on screen its actual location is locked to a button on your right action bar. Moving the mouse back and forth between screens usually fixes it until it happens again.

It was cool to see the first zeppelin to the isles on my server. And then the crashing started and this was Area 52. We were down for a long time lol. All fun tho. The rage on the forums was also delicious.

i've heard all about how Launch Day was a shitstorm, but i got in about 4-5 days ago, and i had virtually no issues, i did all the side quests in WS so i made sure i'd be high enough level to complete the campaign, now i'm gonna be slowly using up those side quests as i use them to quickly get my weekly done for the forseeable future.

I didn't really have any of those issues on launch on either of the 2 servers I played on the only issue I had was lua error screens from out-of-date addons that I forgot to update before playing oh and a small wait que timer to get on my servers that normally never have any.

I think the dalaran hearthstone bug is related to moving the cursor between monitors. Happens to me a lot when tabbing to change video or something, where it just locks onto one of my keybinds on one of the action bars near the edge of the screen Other than that, fun launch :D

Good to see you Kakio, it's always fun to watch your videos. I will be curious when you gonna make " Why Dracthyr?" how that gonna be made. I had lot of fun ( except the constant lag or struggle to load an area with 1 fps. Slow pc 8GB, i5 processor, GTX 1060 6G ) so yea i kind of need one day an upgrade ( oh and not to mention the 460kb/s internet speed ) but other then that i'm pretty happy so far with the expansion.

To this day, if you try to input the "double jump off the ground" on your dragon too quickly (say like, bind it to your mouse scroll wheel and spin it) you will instantly disconnect. Oh and sometimes you forget how to strafe.

the bug at 2:27 sounds like something i get sometimes when i click on my other window, then click back into wow, its almost like the curser is stuck at the position where it left the wow window, for me ti also fixed it to alt tap twice ^^

I suppose my server was lucky, as I didn't experience a problem with the zepplin, or any buggy quests. Have noticed typos in dialogue and quest text tho....like, LOTS of typos. lol

The quest works you just have to click on the rocks to test the tools, it's not an item given to you....which wasn't really conveyed properly in the Quest text soifjsodifjsdoif.

Dragonflight seems pretty ok so far. It's hard to judge since it's only like week 2? Idk i've played so much that i've lost track of time.. besides all that remains is if Blizzard can keep the expansion going and not mess it up. But if I need to criticize something about the expansion it is the fact it's kinda underwhelming. We didn't really get any new features and sure some people will argue about Dragon riding or the new talent trees and with the former, while sure super fun in the beginning, it's not enough to keep me exited for 2 whole years. And talent trees are overrated in my opinion. Now I def prefer the new system over the old, it's not something to get hyped over. It's pointless because most people aren't even gonna bother to read the tooltips and just copy+paste their optimal build from WoWhead. But hey, people seem to like the illusion of choice.

I am glad Blizzard did listen to feedback like mine on the forums to improve their live-render cutscenes for a more consistent look. Expansion is a blast so far. Never loved crafting in MMOs but ESO and WoW now finally have me hooked on that part
