Dragons could get some buffs, especially Saesenthesis: Blaze. Compared to Harmony bird this card is a joke. Good for you that you have a sponsorship and nice video as always!

Saethenthesis: Blaze is definitely expensive for the provisions it costs as a pointslam finisher. It can be insane against decks like Symbiosis or Arachas Swarm where you can kill 20+ tokens in a game, but that's pretty rare.

The bomb version works too, I just find the synergy between Renfri and Precision Strike a bit better and more flexible. With bombs I feel like there might be too much damage and not enough pointslam against other control decks or against pointslam decks.

About Non-Renfri decks for dragons - they aren't all inferior. In fact I've played both, and without her it's probably my favorite deck in all of gwent... I've had her stay in the deck, being bricked or of little use quite often actually. And if you use her provs for even more control, Geralt, Igni or such things... It actually goes crazy.

I've played a good amount without her as well since that's what I initially wanted to do. It didn't work out well for me, but I'm glad you found success with it. I find the synergy between early leader in Precision Strike and Renfri to be better than the other options in most of my games. The extra provisions for more control is very useful though!

@@platinumpatrol2964 yeah... The synergy really does hit hard sometimes! I just find it too common for her to not show up or give me something that isn't all that helpful since you don't have the 5 options to choose from like you often have in Renfri decks. Have you tried the one with Regis? His card with the row dmg.. It's not that great, but it's soo satisfying if you can pull it off!

@@xZFeroxZx Most of the options for Renfri I think are good enough (although the game was really trying to convince me you got to pick whatever you needed at the moment today) even without Runemage. Even in other Renfri decks I've seen people cutting Runemage unless there's a secondary benefit like Double Cross. I haven't tried Regis although he's a fun card. At the moment I'm trying to get a good Yennefer: Conjuror deck but Regis is another Neutral I'd like to find a spot for in a fun deck.

Tried myself to put him into some fun decks, but the NG decks aren't fun and other than dragons I've found no working deck for him... Edit: Maybe a vampire version that works with him? That would be AMAZING!

I see a lot of streaks of certain decks. Not sure if it's because other content creators decided to do them and inspire people or it's just luck.

I honestly don't even enjoy this game anymore. Literally every game it's Nilfgaard-Skellige-Nilfgaard-Skellige ad infinitum with the same cringe decks over and over again. Can't play a skill-based deck and have fun for shit. I'm close to uninstalling. Anyway congrats for the sponsor and remember to vote to remove Skellige (it should never have been a faction, the dwarves in Beauclair had it right)

I really enjoyed the add/don't add Skellige questline in Witcher 3, I always thought it was amusing. At the end of the day if you're not having fun then it's always a good idea to take a break since that's the point of playing (and NG will go down in popularity when Nauzica/Slave Driver get reverted again next patch, Highland Warlord probably as well). I normally see a pretty decent balance of factions and deck variety, but I know some ranks are more filled with specific decks.

I mean most NG decks have never been fundamentally fun (no pun intended) to play against. I used to be on the fence regarding Nilfgaard in the books and games, but since my first week of Gwent I've been an extreme Nilfgaard-racist. There are other issues like disproportionate representation and viability of canon characters (NR Reavers... the Poor Fucking Infantry have a more iconic place in NR lore than reavers. Renfri, notable book character sure but enough to justify her being strong in nearly all factions? Also, no King Vizimir II in the game, meanwhile Radovid gets 2 cards and a Witcher 2 baron guy with 5 minute screentime gets to be one of the most powerful golds in NR lmao). I don't care much for card games, I mostly play Gwent because I love the series and play decks with characters I find interesting lore-wise, so this shortcoming is particularly noticeable.

@@zydrate5098 Yeah NG has a lot of frustrating things to go up against. I've also really noticed the representation/power of characters not always translating from the other media to Gwent (mainly the books which I quite like, but also Witcher 3). It doesn't bother me that much more than just noting that it's a bit silly at times, but I'm used to it from other game adaptations of books. It is weird though, especially Renfri. It would've made a lot more sense for me if the card that gave you a blessing and a curse was Gaunter.

@@platinumpatrol2964 Definitely agreed with Renfri, not only way too versatile but Gaunter makes so much more sense. Most criminal of all imo is the omission of Vizimir, probably the best Northern monarch along with Foltest. Dijkstra + Vizimir should've been a deck of their own. Foltest is weirdly underwhelming and it's bonkers that the Blue Stripes strategy is "swarming" - SPECIAL FORCES commandoes relying on overwhelming numbers... ironic. Well nice to see someone sees the same issues at least, too bad nothing's gonna change much, except maybe nerf NG and SK to oblivion.
