Note here Captain. If your going for overall faster/higher DPS you should cycle your damage modules. The diminishing return effect is great enough that multiple activation actually causes a lower total DPS for longer enounters, assuming you at optimal or near optimal firing conditions for the majority of the fight. Calculations are simple to figure. Take damage mods activation duration add that to down time (60 seconds) so lets say your active time is 20 seconds. You will now have a 80 second calculations window for pen and paper checks (triple this for real time checks). So yeah you will take your DPS counting at 20 second intervals for each activation then subtract those amounts of seconds from that 80 so her is will be back to 60 for single activation. 20 seconds at 300 dps and 60 seconds at 100 dps. So 6000 damge plus 6000 is 12000 damage is 80 seconds. 2 cycles working like this 20x2=40, so there is 2 40 second periods at lets say 200 DPS. So 8000 and 4000 still should be 12000 right? There is no diminishing returns calculated here. So....you have to check yourself. Honestly the 200 will probably more like a 260 so that will end up at 10400 and 4000 so now 14400 an additional 2400 damage over an 80 second period. That deleting another frigate at those low numbers. But anyone you got the equation now take a look yourself. I have knocked 40 minutes of T10 story missions doing this method. Enjoy o7.

Group repairers are pretty popular solo due to taking no powergrid or cap. Keep in mind though, the amount of shield/armor repaired depends on the Remote Shield/Armor Repair skill. Captain Benzie is getting 500 something because he has those skills at 5/5/5 on this test server.

@6:20 I think this is a bug and/or data entry error. Armor EM resistance should be 60% if following Minmatar resistances like they do with shield resistances. Angel Cartel and Yan-Jung are the only two factions that don't get a bonus somewhere to their armor resistance profiles.

Your pvp narrations never fail to put a smile on my face. in fact your recent videos on fulmination server haven't been my favorite, because they have a tad less of the thing that keeps me checking your channel: immediate applicability to what i have available for me to play with. AND no pvp! But it's good to see you on live again and what I most look forward to from your daily videos is your infectious excitement, and especially the suspense if you've got a faction frigate actually on the line in a REAL fight on the live server. Since they fixed the large group shield boosters and made them a whale to fit to anything, I found dropping a gyro for a medium shield booster does help significantly with shield tanking. I’m using a mk7 medium shield booster and that gives what.. 300+ shield back after skills? Alternatively, if you rig into your power rig you can just about fit a medium group shield booster, keep the gyros but sacrifice a little with the speed tank.

Both are viable, I think the regular shield booster is best for anoms but the group shield is best for PVP

Regarding dram fit - story/faction group shield boosters aren't available on the public server. mk7 would be the highest usable and the base heal is about a 10% drop. Still love the fit overall!

Hi Captain Benzie, great content as usual! What I would really enjoy on top of all this goodness is some quantifiable figures from PVE that are consistent from video to video, like perhaps doing the same t10 encounter. Every good PVE ship you do a video on will clears those encounters sure, but I would like to know how fast, that way I could factor in the warp and clear speeds and make some (more) informed choices for encounter setups and compare them with my own builds :) ie. this ship clears bad hare day in about 45 minutes! If you want more boost on that group booster train remote shield rep to 4/4 it will as an additional 26% boost. Also tip for you benzie. As you first enter the encounter if you approach your planet sun etc before you lock anything as soon as you finish the wave your ship will then auto approach that celestial body automagically for you

I'm not saying that dramiel can't finish sweet poison (cause it might), but first waves in first encounter are pretty much like normal T10 anomaly. Real threat are 2 last waves in second encounter, I'd like you to show them in your combat demonstrations instead of first easiest one

I'd be interested in seeing Caldari storyline missions ran in frigates. I run the DD with a very similar fit. With the PG adjustment of group shield boosters, im using a mk9 medium group Shield booster with 554 remote skills.

So I did the same thing on the public server just trying fits out for PvE... I did like running 2 med group shield boosters. But for some more breakdown... a large group shield booster gives you a better heal per 5 seconds at 76.25 (18 for small, 40.6 for medium). However fuel cost the medium is better at 20.3 per 50 fuel (18 for small and 19.1 for large). Just an FYI in case anyone wanted to know.

@@captainbenzie Sadly, that was what I was afraid you would say. I love flying frigates, and I have an Alt specialized in them. In particular I really like those of Minmatar, so the Dramiel seemed like the next logical step for that pilot. Unfortunately, I may now have to rethink that endpoint. 😢

Yes, defnately, in small pvp any faction frigate is a beast, but in real gate camps, 10+ you are dead without tank. Being able to orbit is a massive luxury. If you get webbed and primaried you are dead in this fit. I dont reccommend a dps glass cannon fit for general use, you will die.

He uses the group booster because it uses a mid slot while the shield booster uses a low. Therefore freeing up a low for other fittings. If thats your question.

Capt. Benzie has single *handedly converted me into a frigate pilot. As a filthy casual I tend to go for the shiny big ships, but man; frigates are such fun and so awesome! Currently flying an Incursus assault and a prophecy (because sometimes you just need a biggun drone mama) and am thinking of purchasing a worm, for PvE...but the Dramiel...so bad ass.

It’s having basically no special boosts and is just a better interceptor. I loved mine but that’s really just what it is. Succubus has Tank and Shield, Cruor is having E-War and Daredevil has the web and Disruptor boosts. Only the Dramiel has no special boost except the DCU
