The Draper Road Streetscape

In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic allowed the Town to try something that would have been difficult to do otherwise - close Draper Road between College Avenue and Jackson Street. As part of the closure, outdoor dining was allowed by area restaurants and the area became a well-used outdoor destination in the heart of downtown. Its popularity with citizens continues today.
As a result, in August of 2024, the Town made many interim improvements to the Draper streetscape, including better-defined dining areas, more seating, lighting, and space for performances.
