I worked in North Africa on the oil rigs for many years. The locals spoke of The Djinn many times. Once we were held up in Tataouine, Tunisia. We were waiting for clearance to enter the desert. By dust, we had clearance, but our driver refused to drive through the desert at night for fear of the Djinnn and other alleged entities that were there. I passed it off as superstition until I arrived at the rig and told the story to an Amercan driller. I was surprised when he said it's true, he and the crew had seen many strange things there.

Hi, guys, I'm a long-time fan of your channel, and I've left many comments before, so please forgive me if I've already shared this story, but I can't resist mentioning it here, since it perfectly refutes the skeptical argument that the only people who see Djinn are those with a cultural predisposition to do so. In a nutshell, I once encountered a being that appeared to be a human, (a woman) made of green light, deep in the forest. It was 1992, I was 17 years old, and was on a backpacking trip with my family in Kings Canyon National Forest, in California. I was from a family of lapsed Protestants, and was at that time an atheist, more or less. My family is mixed Irish/German/English stock, and we had no knowledge whatsoever of the Djinn. The entity I encountered was the most frightening event of my young life, and it left an indelible imprint on my mind and character. There is more to the story than I want to burden you with here, but suffice to say, I saw a glowing, green, humanoid figure at close range, and it was utterly terrifying. I've spent years and years researching all manner of folklore and investigations into the paranormal, trying to find an answer for the questions that my sighting aroused in me, and the entity whose description most closely matches what I witnessed is the Djinn. "A being made of smokeless (green) fire," is EXACTLY what this entity appeared to be. There you have it: No cultural conditioning, and NO expectation to see such a thing; still, it happened. This is why I tend to believe any sincere-sounding person who comes forward with a strange sighting. I know what it is to witness the unusual, and I know all too well what it is to be disbelieved. The world IS a lot stranger than the current materialistic scientific consensus would like to admit. All the best to you. Loved your video. --Naomi

Very interesting, thanks for sharing. to back that up, what I assume to be the non Arab lady in the last story of the video depicted a Jinn, with hooved feet near what seemed to be a bath house.... I am of Moroccan heritage. And in Moroccan culture "maybe even in Arab culture in general" some Jinns are said to have the legs of a camel, and enjoy lingering in Bath houses. An interesting similarity.

The Irish have a long tradition of interaction with the unseen, you just have other names for them. Their true form, we are unable to see, but they can choose how they appear to us. They usually appear as animals, with some preference for some specific animals, but they can take human form, usually with a detail that is wrong, like animal hooves, or vertical eyes... Usually, in nature, the jinn are peaceful and will leave you alone as long as you don't disturb their habitat or hurt one of them. It's the ones that hang around the unclean places that are scary and violent and harmful. What happened when you saw it? Did you dream of her, did you pass out? Please give us more details.

Because when i was a baby, i was almost kidnap by a Djinn like entity. After i was born, my parents visited my grandma (Mother side) in her village. I was sleeping in the guest room while my parents were busy making dinner. When my mother came to check on me, she saw what she describe as a thin human like entity with really long hair creeping through the window. She screamed and grabbed me quickly away. My dad rushed to the room before seeing the creature scurried out the window. Enraged, my dad gave chase, screaming prayers while wielding a machete into the jungle. He was found an hour later by other village men after grandma called for help.

The single most most disturbing experience I ever had was a forest going quiet, as if someone had switched a soundtrack off. All I could hear was my breathing, my footsteps, and my heart pounding. The place had been alive with sound, and then it wasn't. I imagine I stood there for a while, though in retrospect it was more like a few seconds. I think I was waiting for the sound to come back so I could breathe. That was the weird sensation. It was so uncomfortable I turned back along the trail, reached my vehicle and promptly left. To this day I've never had another experience like that. I have no idea what happened, but it kept me from doing any hiking for several years. Decades later the memory gives me pause when I'm out and about. Weird!

The first and only time I ever heard about Djinn’s in a real life situation was the Nora Quoirin case in 2019. Nora was 15 but she had developmental issues which affected her mentally and physically according to her parents. Long story short the parents took their kids on vacation to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia at a resort surrounded by dense jungle. Basically the literal night after they arrived Nora disappeared. The police and parents were so desperate they allowed a shaman to try to help them as she had been gone for 8 days by that point. The shaman said she was captured by a Djinn that didn’t want to let her go. He gave offerings and did his best. The next day after the shaman tried to help she was found. It was 9 days after she vanished. Nora was found 1.6 miles away from the resort in deep jungle. She had no clothes or shoes on. She only had underwear on. Granted that’s what her parents say she was wearing when she was put to bed that night. She was no longer alive. Autopsy stated she passed because of internal bleeding caused by a combination of hunger and stress.. The parents still to this day think she was kidnapped. The police say she must have left for some reason and got lost in the jungle. Her parents say she struggled to walk even short distances unassisted. The parents to this day are still fighting for answers. She would have had to climb over a fence, squeeze between a gap in a gate, walk with no shoes through difficult and treacherous terrain to reach the spot she was found. Remember she had developmental delays. Physically and mentally. I remember watching the news as this case unfolded. It just felt so bizarre. I still have no clue what could have happened to her. Just super creepy circumstances if you ask me.. Anytime I hear a story about Djinns it makes me think of this case.

South Asian muslims can tell you some horrific stories and as a south asian myself I'd say our stories about them are similar to the type native americans have about such entities (e.g. not talk about them much, especially at night, avoiding being outside at dusk). BTW Most of you guys, when you read the Alaadin story about his genie do none of you bother to ask why that entity was trapped in the first place? It's to do with exorcism. Here's another riddle for you - when Europeans mention vampires can't enter a property unless it's invited well in the islamic there's a similar rule about these entities (i.e. they're not allowed to interact with humans intentionally unless humans invite them first and once they are they'll remain unless expel by an exorcism). I'll give one more final tidbit that ties the vampire stories with this entity. Do you know how some superstitious south asians keep these entities from entering their property? They drive iron stakes into the 4 corners of their house.
@DOG-MEAT3 ай бұрын
That bit about vampires not being able to come into your home without being welcomed comes later I believe from Bram Stoker novels the actual vampires in folk law where basically just zombies who would rise from the dead eat people and die once the sun rose only to come back alive at night.
@cgsimons11873 ай бұрын
I heard they are repelled by iron and to protect a property to do exactly as you stated with the iron stakes in the four corners of the house. The use of stakes(with iron instead of wood) and requiring a human occupant to open the door and let them in does seem connected to the mythical vampire. Though you can bet there are some homes where these entities gained permission before the current occupants moved in. Possibly dwelling on the land long before man built homes there.

@@DOG-MEAT Vampires tend to vary in their nature according to their geography. You are right about Stoker influencing peoples perceptions of them. Jinns can explain almost all paranormal phenomena since they are formless. In islamic literature there is an abundance of information about them. Upon the creation of man, both angels and a jinn named iblis were commanded by the creator to prostrate to adam (the first man) out of respect. The arrogance of iblis led him to reason that he should not bow to man because they are made of clay and he is made of smokeless fire. This disobedience continued and instead of seeking forgiveness, iblis sought to destroy mankind and was given the ablility to influence mankind amongst other things like an extended lifespan to the day of judgement. This was given as repayment of his dutiful worship up until his disobedience, for seeking complete repayment in his worldly life, the reward of the hereafter was restricted from him and he was cursed to hellfire. Lemme know if u want me to write more 😀

The description of the Djinn reminds me of the Ijiraq in Inuit mythology. Because they shapeshifters they are mostly seen as red-eyed animals that quickly go out of sight at the corner of your eye. They can either be good or bad depending on the individual but are mostly known as tricksters, and their humanoid form are dark and shadowy with red eyes. Only shamans can see their true forms and their faces are described as having sideways eyes and mouth.

I remember seeing something like this, but it looked demonic with horns, hooved legs that were bent backwards, very large muscular build and the same strange green eyes, I used to work night shift at an old school with alot of islamic students and they had left for the holidays leaving me and the guard dog there, well, this thing jumped down from the roof landing on the gravel and was watching me right in my face, but at first I thought it was a joke but it moved the gravel it was standing on and had three fingers like claws as it reached for me, both the dog and I ran seperate ways and I spent the night in my car praying it wouldn't come after me. My friend who was a muslim told me it was probably a demon or djinn and I told him, why would it show itself to me when I am not even muslim? I respect the Islam and all religions but there are things truly out there we don't understand and when I saw that thing, I was terrified. Anyway, be careful and safe out there everyone, you never know what's out there in the dark, watching you in return.

I am sorry you had to go through this, but these guys, they don't discriminate lol They are present in all cultures under different names and descriptions. What I find weird is the unprovoked attack. Usually, the good jinn will only mess with you if you did something to them (and they are very vindictive...) The bad jinn usually like dirty places of "ciolenve" and "dloob", they can be summoned by black magic to guard "spell jars" and things like that. It seems like they hate some types of dogs and cannot hang around wolves (what kind of dog did you have with you?) It just wanted to scare you to make you leave the premises, they rarely hurt people while in material shape, they will instead mess with your sleep and your dreams, mess with your nerves... What the Catholics call infestation, before possession. Stay strong and pray to God, don't be too scared because they fear God and are repulsed by prayer. Cheers!

Great story. My own personal theory is that when you hear the sounds fade away into nothing, or smell a terrible smell, you have just walked into a Dimensional Bubble. These sensory effects are a result of our senses being uses in a dimension other than out own. One should immediately STAND STILL until it passes, or immediately BACK-TRACK your steps until you hear sounds and smells of the forest again. To continue forward will take you further into said dimension. These bubbles, or energy fields free-float across our globe enveloping anything from our normal dimension, before moving along re-depositing them later back from whence they originated. If we continue to walk in the same direction of the field we can walk for days or even weeks until we are free, hence some of David Palides mysteries. Thanks Bedtime Stories.

I left work one friday and had decided to go for a 2 day backpacking and camping trip in Blue Ridge Geargia. It being late afternoon, I hadn't but barely made it far down and small connector leading to Benton Mccay Trail when I had to stop and make camp for the night. I had never taken that trail before, but had seen the trail head on my way to go Trout Fishing at Rock Creek a few times. The spot where I set up camp had been camped at before, and already had a decent size stone-lined fire pit. I set up my Hammock and Rain Fly and made me decent fire where I stacked a good bit of a larger log on to get a nice coal bed for the night. As I sat and stared at the logs growing in flame, there was a soft hum that came from the fire, and the flames disappeared. Suddenly, with the screach of an owl a rush of heat and light colored smoke flew from the fire pit with the distict shape of an arm reaching out for me, and a face barely breaking out of the surface. Looked like something from a horror movie, like a "scream" mask. It wasn't backlit hardly at all for the flames had vanished. I jerked and stumbled back, terrified, falling backward from the small stump i was sitting on. Then there was a sort of poof or pluff sound (like hot thick smoke catching flame) and the flame burst back up like normal. It had startled me so bad that my skin was hurting and vibrating, like being scared awake by a bad dream. I quickly grabbed my gear stuffing it in my pack and hiked the hour or so in the dark to my car and drove down off the mountain, I could see white in the corners of my vision because my heart was beating so hard. When i got to the bottom of the mountain. I stopped at the church at the end of the Forrest Road (it's the road that leads up to the Springer Mountain Appalachian Trail-Head) on Double Head Gap Rd. where i literally cried for a few minutes before praying and sleeping the night in my car parked under the large tree in the middle of the gravel lot in front of the church. It's the scariest thing i've ever witnessed along side only two other things that have happened to me while in the woods. It's possible there was something in that wood, or maybe my imagination... But i know what i saw, i can still see that hand, long with skinny fingers grasping and that face in anguish. It was not of this world/dimension/plane in my opion, and I have never heard that sound, before, or since. Maybe it was one of these, Djinn, who knows? I've hiked a lot in this area sense then, even though I can't look at a fire without thinking about it. Either way, love your videos, i don't believe in coincidences, when so many people over hundreds of years witness the same things... though some may be elevated, it cant just be just pure fiction in my opinion.
