Could I ask what you did to get the rest off your plants. I’ve had a bought of bba and I’ve had to cut and remove loads of plants

Hi Chris, yes same thing, I had to sacrifice a couple of small anubius and buce 😔as they were covered. The rest of the plants I had to prune back and had to remove many of the needle leaf leaves. Do you do regular maintenance? as I have been slack, and this may help bba ?. I have lowered the light and turned up the Co2 and so far, so good, I have not removed it all but at least it is now manageable 😀

@@johnnydubbsaquascaping hi yeah I’ve been good with the maintenance but have just ordered co2. It’s a 5ft tank but was trying to see if I could get rid of it before I added co2 in case it made it worse 🤦♂️ had to cut back loads of plants that were thriving just a week ago. It’s quite stocked the tank so hoping it’s maybe just a flux in co2 and caused it. Runs on fx6 and a ehiem pro 3 so I doubtful it will be a dead spot. And as the tanks nearly a year old if it was a dead spot I think I would of already struggled with the bba by now

I dont think its a dead spot either, most of my bba has been where the flow is the strongest, not sure if that what spreads it (spores) or not. I am not keen on dosing the tank as I have lots of fish and shrimp in the tank and would hate to hurt them with incorrect dose. I have spot dosed the bba with API Co2 booster and that does work but you have to be at it all the time and again cant dose too much at once. It is definitely an ongoing battle.@@chrisweston3029
