I think the VP lord being a bit too brave, lack of Fell bats, and to a small degree having the corpse cart at the start did the VCs in. Good game though

Prepare for the bare was able to defend his ranged aspects very well, won him the game very cleanly. I think the Vampire counts have simply fallen behind, there are factions that do their gimmick better now and they don't have the versatility to get around their weaknesses. Nurgle basically has them beat on all fronts, and even then they aren't amazing. Wight kings are fine, but they ain't got shit on Exalted heroes of Nurgle. Zombies are very good chaff, but you compare Skeleton Spearmen to Mauraders of Nurgle and you get so much more for that 75 gold extra. nearly double the leadership and double melee attack with poison means they're so much more effective in the grind and the hold. Hell, even the TK spearmen are the same unit but with a silvershields for 25 gold less. idk how you'd win with VC right now outside of taking the points early and dying slow enough that they don't get them back, feels like uptrading just isn't on the cards.
