The next time you feel down-drained, depressed, self-recriminating, etc.-take a moment to pause and reflect. Ask yourself what thoughts are arising in you that might exacerbate your current state. Are you attached to a particular idea or opinion that, in turn, gives rise to negative emotions? Does examination of these thoughts loosen their grip?

Yes, it is all inter connected. I think and reflect and having lived alone for 35 years there is plenty of time for that, and I wouldn't live any other way. But in my studio, focused on my work I become present, it is my rock and creative work is a great healer.

Trying over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.. I feel like drifting away from presence more and more. Because i believe in the thought that says, life is a nightmare.. Been pushed to the edge so many times i lost count - Still not awake. Still living this nightmare - Imprisoned in this body - Incredibly bored with the world - Sick of hostile people f*cking everywhere. Awakening is my only choice, but it doesnt seem like i can get there, because of this heavy personality coloring my life 24/7. Any interpretation of life is unbearable. Stopping to interpret seems impossible. In essence i'm pro life but seriously.. I'm glad when this "dream" is finally over. And it feels horrible to say that.

Discarding who society " wanted me to be , working from my egotistical self. Life experiences made it possible for me to feel the contrast between ego and heart/ soul. I am grateful for the experience of working from my higher self. I do believe the ego is a protector & I have slipped back to egotistical experience. The difference is I can feel the difference & that is something no money , people , places or things can ever change. Awakening is powerful , beautiful but difficult for other people to understand. Anyone who makes it through the matrix has put the work in to the collective energy. Now is the time to merge light and dark aspects of myself. I now have the spiritual tools to co create. Something I don't believe a person can do working with lower dimensional behaviours/ emotions.

I loved hearing what you wrote. When I had my awakening about 17 years ago, I went through so much cognitive dissonance with it followed by a dark night of the soul experience over discarding parts that no longer served me. It was then the awakening occurred. I remember it was 4 in the morning and I was in bed fully aware. I remember a voice within said “you can’t go go back to not knowing, it’ll be too painful to live there.”

There must be something more real than the dream without which the dream can't take place. Humans suffer from the forgetfulness of being. Without awareness of being, humans are lost in the doing. Past and present involuntarily move into a future never seen before. There is no reality that takes your neurons and sensors that you can touch, see, hear, smell, and taste the moment you suddenly don't dream. Then there is the storage of the past and the capture of the present, without which dreams cannot happen, lost in involuntary whole life, without neurons and sensors, and without the unreal moments that create dreams like reality, sure to die. The truth is the future never seen and the afterlife or soul never believed

Absolutely, an amazing notion to recognize. Action resides within the mind which is more than active in dream, creating more worlds of time, space and causality within subtle nature/elements and ego while the body rests. Another interesting aspect would be rendering the waking and dreaming states together as one undifferentiated state by remaining the Witness. Even further, a conscious deep sleep (rare), dream and waking; then even the act of dreaming and the dreamer as undifferentiated. Full lucidity in the ever-awakened state. I digress🙏

Carl jung was so important in developing dream theraphy. Dreams are the direct link to the unconcious and are important to release pain and develop mental health and freedom.

@@juststop022 what's your definition of suffering sir or madam? Suffering is just pure psychological just like any problems. All sufferings or problems are psychological (created by the ego). Suffering cannot exist without the ego. When one transcends the ego (thoughts or the thinker), there would be no suffering anymore. I could get physical pain but I wouldn't suffer from that pain. It is as it is (pure physical sensation). Ego, suffering and problem are one. The ego is just an imagined entity, therefore all sufferings and problems are all imagined as well.

Does Eckhart use consciousness and awareness interchangeably… I have to re listen (because I’m getting into Steven LaBerge’s differentiation of both) - I get it if it’s for the purpose of making his main teachings more understandable but I assume he does actually know of the distinctions LaBerge makes and why. I get it more as because unconscious is below thought whereas ‘becoming present’ is above thought’. Whereas I can the impression that with ‘consciousness’ it can be too simplistic for comprehensive understanding - like too conceptual, too wordy and logic is rendered still faulty to the fullest understanding of what it could be that presence (which could be in a par with what LaBerge terms ‘awareness’) just feels and is part of.

Really? I'm intrigued, what are they? I know in some parts of America you can end up in jail for having curtains that don't match, basically you get fined for having bad curtains if you can't pay the fine you go to jail and have to work for the state for around a dollar an hour, in other countries its called enslavement but in America its called capitalist democracy and survival of the richest.
