The tools providing an illusion of safety while also making the truck feel claustrophobic, the dim lighting mixed with the angle showing just enough of the window that it tricks you into thinking there's gonna be a jumpscare, the centralized focus of on the driver who is not bothered or phased by anything going on as opposed to the poor sod flipping and freaking out, and of course the dark comedy of said sod getting killed and the driver just casually realizing this is a bust and leaving like it's just another day. The emotional contrast is absolutely stellar. Bravo!

“There’s nothing you could do or say to make me go back in there!” “…you’ll get an extra $10” Played phas for over a year now, some of my best memories are from playing with my friends :) Some of the stories- 1) one time recently I was playing with my friend Barbara and we were on willow street house and in the garage, still finding the ghost room, and I found the caulk. Now, with my other friends we make some jokes with the caulk that you can imagine and so i grabbed the caulk and said “Barbara! I found my caulk!” “You what?” “I have caulk!” “Ayo?? Wait should we show the ghost your caulk?” “Ghost, do you want my caulk?” It started a fake hunt (cause the 5mins hadn’t passed) 2) one time back in maybe September my friend moondew was streaming phas and my friend paegan and I joined her as well as her friend who’s name I don’t actually remember so we’re calling her scarlet. We decided we wanted to actually get the 25% overall sanity objective and since paegan funded she stayed in the van and scarlet, moondew, and myself went back into the house which was the ridgeview roadhouse and it was the long hallway leading to the bathroom, We had a camera infront of the bathroom door, scarlet moondew and I shut off our flashlights and sat in the dark talking sh¡t to the ghost until it started a hunt. All three of us died, Paegan watched us die, thus dropping the sanity (also from our deaths) and we got the objective. 3) I was playing on tanglewood with my friends green and Phil and we found a ouija board, It had been a while and we were torn about where the ghost room was (stairs/upstairs hallway or kitchen) So I turned it on in the kitchen. And as a member of the lgbtq+ community, my immediate thought was to ask if it was gay just for fun to see what would happen, I turned it on, Prepared for no response and the opportunity to make some gay jokes, “Are you Gay?” I ask It immediately burned the ouija board and started a hunt that lasted less than a second, killing me immediately. We all laughed our asses off 4) one time my friends paegan, emi, tiny, and I were playing on willow streethouse and the ghost room was the back left room in the basement, We couldn’t find our last bit of evidence and so I was sent in alone with a spirit box and to try to get extra evidence (picture, etc) and it wouldn’t respond so I started singing we didn’t start the fire by billy Joel, Any time I did it started a hunt. I eventually died 5) one time I was playing on edgefield street(?)house with my friend blobby and we couldn’t find the ghost room, coldest it would get was about 14 in the upper hallway. It had been about 10 minutes of searching and we decided to open the first closet in that hallway (that had the green room door) for just incase and the ghost was infact in said closet and started a hunt and killed me immediately. It was quite funny I have quite a few stories but those are all I can think of at the moment :) Had a new fun one a few hours after I sent this, 6) I was playing with my friend Ella and we were using ingame comms and she was leaving the house since the ghost was an alone ghost. So I’m talking to her through comms as she exits and the spirit box is on, without asking a question the ghost just says “*die*” and I ran out of that house so fast LOL (Was on bleasdale farmhouse) !!NEW!! 7) my friends and I needed one more piece of evidence on ridgeview roadhouse, this story just occurred. So my friend Ella and I were in the basement trying to get the ghost to show us he was there by writing or opening a door. For fun I decide to flicker my flashlight to imitate a hunt, After a few second he decided to do a fake hunt and went right up to Ella. Then he opened the door, we got fingerprints, and we left. Well, I thought we left. The door shut behind me and Ella was locked inside without Barbara or myself noticing (Barbara was in the van on cams). We do all our games with ingame comms and stay muted on discord in a vc, so we’re ingame on the radios asking Ella if she’s alive and she goes on discord and says “GUYS I DIED” and it was kinda funny 8) a few rounds before that I found the tarot cards and I did the first one and it was the one that starts a hunt and the ghost just immediately killed Barbara I’m gonna update this comment any time something funny happens

I love how dude said he doesn't get paid enough for hunting ghosts but the average contract lasts under 30min and each person can get upwards from $200 per contract. Even just 5 contracts (2.5h excluding time between locations, give or take) would push your average investigator into the 4-figures range. If you average 25 contracts per week, congrats, you have a personal monthly income of over $21k. That's more money than some doctors.

But remember, this isn't like a firefighter being called out for an emergency. Each client should take additional time in setting up the job. You have to contact them, establish a good time to come by, set up a contract for services rendered which will take time as it seems to vary based on how much you gather and it's unclear who is even paying the hunters. Insurance? On top of that, you have the overhead of operating out of a physical building, paying for and insuring your vehicle and equipment, etc. Not to mention the liability *nightmare* of a job like that where presumably there are frequent deaths. If you don't get shut down, your premiums will skyrocket to the point that you might be losing money on each job- *if* you're not shutdown first. On top of it all, your job isn't even all that useful as people will quickly realize you don't even get rid of the ghost. What's the point of identifying it if it's still in there when you're finished? Do Ghostbusters exist in this world and if so, why not do that job instead? That sounds *way* cooler and probably boasts a much higher survival rate as you can actually fight back against the ghost haunting the location. Overall, being a ghost hunter, in the way Phasmo portrays it, sounds good on paper but would be impractical and nearly impossible in real life. OHS would have a field day if a disgruntled worker phoned to complain.
