Not an onryo because it never mentioned hating candles. Not freezing temps so it can't be Demon, Jinn, Hantu, Moroi, Oni, Revenant, Shade, Mimic, Twins, or Yurei. Probably not a banshee because it didn't sing ever, and didn't care when the target left. Not an Obake because it didn't have 6 fingers or change forms. Not a Deogen because it had to look for him. Not a Thaye because it didn't age. Not a Phantom because it was visible the entire time. Not a poltergeist because it wasn't throwing items every .5 seconds. Not a wraith because it didn't teleport to subject. Can't be a Goryo because it changed it's favorite ghost room. Probably not a Raiju because it was slow finding the house, even though they all have plenty of electical equipment inside/outside. We don't know if it's a mare because no lights were on in the house, and it didn't mention disliking lights. Probably not a myling because mylings love to whisper/are quite when they move around. Could be a spirit because they only attack when they need to. It's most likely a Yokai due to how long it took to find the subject and the fact that it visited other rooms before it found the subject. So my bet is on it being a Yokai.

@@stardude289 Yeah the team we play as are the investigators and we identify the ghost type, after that the company we work for sends a group of ghost exterminators to deal with whatever ghost we identified, we only get paid if we got it right cuz otherwise we made the work of the other group harder. I hope we get to play as that team in a future update

Assuming you're living in nightmare mode: The ghost was willing to sign a lease contract, implying ghost writing. We don't get to see the favorite room for long enough for freezing or get any other evidence based interactions. However, DOTS Projectors are based of of real life XBox 360 Kinects, so I'd argue high likelihood of DOTS evidence with this particular case (i know im being meta but its a fun fact i dont get to use often). In Nightmare mode, the only ghost that can have these two evidences is the Thaye, which explains why the ghost never walks though the doorway into the room and why the ghost changes the favorite ghost room to the bedroom only after the homeowner left (to prevent aging). If you want to argue that we're on an easier mode with 3 evidence, the only two ghost options are Thaye and Deogen. This ghost cannot be a Deogen because they had to search multiple houses first.

Some headcanons I have for this game: - Someone(s) is distributing cursed magical items to unsuspecting people. - The founder of the company knows next to nothing about the occult. They're reasonably intelligent and have good observational skills and then just did a google search on ghost names and arbitrarily used them as categories for different ghosts. - We rile up the ghost far worse than anything else, evidenced by the fact that the ghost has frequently killed 0 people until we show up. - Our reports give exorcists headaches over all the mis-used terms. - For all we get wrong and rile up the ghost, our info has to be at least mildly useful to exorcists otherwise they wouldn't use us. - Alternately, the property owners hire us directly and exorcists just dread coming in after us. - The ghost in the headquarters does the tutorial haunting for us and is responsible for resurrecting us after missions ... or during missions through Tarot and Monkey Paw items.
