Today I visited a company in Newport called IQE where I met Security who told me that my Drone cannot come in!

Semiconductor manufacturer; great video and views 👍⭐⭐⭐ Building was constructed in 1996 for LG Semiconductor and in 2017 Welsh Government provided £38 million for makeover and IQE to relocate to the disused factory manufacturing compound semiconductors. LG closed at end of 2006 and appears the building was vacant till the 2017-2018 refurbishment. A 2021 article with interview notes: "IQE has occupied a large building in Newport since 2017 where it produces epitaxial compound semiconductor wafers of multiple sizes and materials. These can include gallium-arsnide, indium-phosphide, gallium nitride and GaN-on-silicon, GaN-on-silicon-carbide and so on. Such wafers then get processed into devices by IDMs and foundries for use in a wide variety of power, RF and optical applications."

This is an education to companies that a boundary fence does not afford them protection from competitors ( or otherwise ) So they need to know NOT to leave anything 'private' out in the open, 'private' or otherwise 😮
