The drought and heat result in no water in our house 1 month, so we are heading to the nearby river!

We get Public water on Samal Island and in Butuan city but had to drill a well in our home outside Manito we never run out of water because we bought water tanks and electric water pumps for each house even during the hot months.

Our water issues are far from resolved. The barangay water is from a pipe from "the mountain". That means dirty water, as it leaves mud in the barrels I use to store 400 liters. When it has rained the water is yellow and brownish. When that water is not flowing, we have a line to the river 60m away, but that too isn't clean water. A well... here there are no septic tanks, only holes, so the groundwater too likely contaminated. I dream of a sophisticated purification system, but for now it is dirtyish water for toilet, bathing, dish washing and 5 gallon purchase water for drinking.
