Id give alot just to come experience a trip with you and your crew on a decent claim you have up north from me and get to learn from someone like you. My dad always taught me how they dont make men like they used to and that stands true in so many ways that the knowledge you have will never be passed down the same ways as you learned it and understand it. The world gets softer and softer but the old timer pass down not just knowledge but ways of life that is interesting in so many ways. Thanks again for outting so much love and effort into your content. You mustobe making the content or found a way to dig for gold without so much brute effort and still make it so profitable in ways thats dollars dont add up to. If you just dug for gold i bet you would make alot doing so but uou take so much time to film, explain and be so thorough it amazes me. Thank you.

Hey Gary, I was curious if you've ever found any platinum nuggets in your adventures. If I recall correctly, that might be more likely up in the Klamath Mountains? Oh, how about diamonds? There are in fact some diamonds in your parts. The geologists aren't exactly sure how the got there because they've only ever been found in ancient channel conglomerates and modern river gravels, never in their host rock. They pretty definitely do not come from kimberlite or lamproite pipes, as in your normal commercial hard-rock diamond mines. One idea is that they're just eroding here and there out of the chunks of upper-mantle that got shoved up onto the continental margin. Probably worth taking a second look if you find any little bits of quartz in your pans, because it might not be quarts
@TwoToes2 жыл бұрын
I have one nugget that I need to have Chris Ralph look at. I have found a couple of small diamonds north of Oroville.
@janjohannessmith70332 жыл бұрын
Cataclysmic flood event might explain a random disbursement of diamonds in the ancient gravels
@cacogenicist2 жыл бұрын
@@janjohannessmith7033 - The diamonds in the modern gravels are pretty much always downstream from ophiolites -- chunks of oceanic lithosphere, including mantle pieces. And they are often associated with mantle minerals, like chromite. So it's seeming likely to me that they are hosted in the ophiolites.
@cacogenicist2 жыл бұрын
@@TwoToes - Very cool. If you and Chris were ever able to meet up for a day of prospecting, those videos would get quite a few views I think. I wonder how many diamonds bounced off black sands in the old timers' sluices, and washed out. Probably a lot.

Hi Mister! I hope you are well. I like your videos so much🙂 Now I would like read your advice. I know that you use a White's TDI to detect some of the targets in the rivers. My question is: What do you think about having a White's TDI BeachHunter to do the same job? I saw a couple of videos where people say that the TDI beachhunter is just regular TDI but there are a few differences between them like the new one is a waterproof model but has no high or low tone selector, anyhow I bought one for the purpose of gold nugget detection, but I am not sure if it will work in the river as it works in the beach, and I honestly have no experience doing that. So do you think it will work? I'm open to any tips to make it work! I thank you for any advice you can give me, and thank you so much for every video.👍👍👍
