I'm obsessed with this song. It's so beautiful! I am a huge falling in reverse fan since Ronnie was with escaping the fate. I truly enjoyed your reaction to it the most of all I watched. Your love of music was evident through the whole song. Thank you so much for it! I agree the lyrics hit so much harder. So much of his music is powerful lyrically but easy to miss because of high energy music.

My interpretation of these two songs: The original one looks and sounds like a teen love full of adventures and naivety. This version is a grown up love full of drama , pure emotions and sorrow. I think this contrast shows that we have matured and the original song is a moment of nostalgia for old times. Both are amazing. I agree that the lyrics are stronger in this style. hope my idea is clear. Cheers and peace!!!

There's a purpose why Ronnie brought the girl from the album cover out. In my opinion the girls in the courtroom from the original represent the drugs and problems he had that caused him the troubles and darkness in his life. The lyrics are way deeper than the video. Ex.. You drag a coffin with you because you're gambling with your life and roll the dice when your sniffing up coke.... You hit snake eyes and its game over... Etc. Burning the girl at the end was representative of him letting that part of him go.

I think of it like this. The original, as you suggest, is that young rebellion. Like yeah I am having fun, maybe being reckless, who cares I do what I want. Edgy teen stuff. This one is more of story of that kind of edgy teen who grows up and realizes they were doing all of this crazy stuff, thinking that they would live fast and die young, but they are still here. This edgy defiance is now more of a emotional realization of why one was acting out so recklessly, having to battle your inner demons kinda thing.

I felt like the “You” version was almost a “YOLO” almost kind of song, the reimagined almost comes off as a “struggling to live with your decisions” vibe. I didn’t like old Falling In Reverse(of course I knew them well enough) but they seemed, campy and, annoying. This morose style is brilliant. If he did more of this, I’d buy it without question. Haha
