That is how you recognize that Regé is a great method actor. Julia Quinn wrote about Simon, but Regé created Simon to the point that beyond Bridgerton, we do not see Simon in Regé. The dreamest part for me was when Daphne rushed into the garden during the ball when she knew the Prince was going to ask for her hand. She knew Simon was at the ball as well. In her frustration she runs into the garden to get some air. Simon appears over her shoulder and tells her he wants to say goodbye because he's leaving London. They have a big argument because, frankly, Daphne is tired of being jerked around by Simon's indecisive behavior. As we know, she hurries into the "Dark Walk" and Simon kisses her passionately before her brother intervenes. I love the interaction between the two of them there. Shows you how hard relationships can sometimes be and how important it is to communicate what you want. Rarely do we do that and that makes for powerful love stories like theirs.

The scene that gets to me the most, is when Daphne dabs Simon's eye after his fight with Anthony in the club. Although they are not speaking to each other, they just can't stop their feelings, so when she slides onto his lap and then they kiss each other, I cry each time.
