The Duke of Lancaster Ship Abandoned at Mostyn North Wales

the Duke of Lancaster Ship. in 1979 it was breached and turned into a floating leisure and retail called the fun ship.
However that dream was short lived and never came true. the owners of the ship walked away following alleged long standing legal disputes with the local council and by the mid -1980s the ship had closed.

Nice footage! Used to be able to see this ship from my house, when I lived over The Dee on The Wirral. It was much whiter back then (15 yrs ago).

Unfortunately even if it had remained open, with the rediculoud health and safety rules, and crippling insurances of today it would not be a viable venture.
