The Dumbarton Rail Bridge was the first bridge ever built across the San Francisco Bay, completed a whole 23 years before construction on the Golden Gate Bridge even began. And yet, unless you're an aggressively curious Dumbarton Road Bridge commuter, you probably don't know anything about. In this video, I take a deep dive into the history of the bridge, and how it might come back to glory in the near future.
At some point in the future, my goal is to continue this series with discussions and deep dives into all the bridges in the Bay Area.
