There is actually a way to know if a brawler is right or left handed ( when they are not holding weapons), based on their posture and the feet/arm positioning, don't know the exact details but read about it a while ago hahs

I think 8-bit is the only cannonicaly left handed brawler, source: literally his model in-game and in 99% of official art. That doesn't necessarily mean he writes with his left hand, though it is more likely he would, but there's lots of lefty's out there that wright with their right beacose of various resons.

Erm, actually, in the Brawl Talk animation during Season 8, we see Ash using both of his hands, and mainly using his right for the animation when he uses his broom. While in game he uses his left hand, meaning that he's most likely ambidextrous 🤓👆 (COUGH ignore me :3) - From a dedicated Ash main
