Still thought you should've called it "The Dungeon That Broke The Ice" but it was a really fun dungeon. Despite some bugs and recurring issues, the day 1 run went alright. Loved watching Raid Zone/Dungeon Zone. We got in the zone, we live in the zone, we won't leave the zone.

I’m glad my team was able to clear it. I knew everyone saying the “it’s a dungeon, it won’t be hard” would be bs. After salvations edge people have been wrong. Even crota, no one went into crota expecting it to be hard. I’m hopeful for the next day 1 dungeon in heresy and I hope they keep up the same difficulty. Iv only cleared day 1 Ron and honestly it felt so much better clearing this dungeon.

Launches you in the air for the boss fight, forces you to move around, and it has an extension for more boss phase. And the other one lets you shoot what feels like a bajillion servitors. Two of the best boss encounters so far. Well done to the team.

I love them using existing spaces in new ways. The world of Destiny is already vast, we need more DEPTH to keep the extant locations fresh and lively. It seems they’ll be going that direction with the recently announced solo ops playlist. That being said, I’m excited for the new locations we’ll be exploring in the next saga with Frontiers, it will be a good reset for the whole game.

I do have some critiques of this dungeon overall. But this was totally the best dungeon launch to date since Shattered Throne first surprised everyone. I had a blast chasing contest and almost got the clear. I desperately hope this is now the new standard going forward for dungeons. Great vid as always! Thanks for doing this work of community history keeping. I have not ever played a game with a community like this one that has such an appetite for historical record keeping content like this. And that is truly something magical and special. Great job to you and whoever assists you with these. I’m looking forward to the next one.

Servitor boss is by far one of my top boss fights ever. Nothing scratches my itch like having glacial quake be good and even meta for a boss phase. On the same note, i run solar hunter with 1k voices and it's the only way i can consistently experience sufficient ignition chaining without having to wait for solar fulmination in the seasonal artifact. If you havent yet, try solar with fragments going to ignitions and scorch, and whip out your long-vaulted 1k voices. Such a blast

In my eyes, Bungie is the people that make the game that we know as Destiny. The Level Designers, the Coders, the Visual Artist and Design Team. The people that are passionate, and love the game like some of us do. Bungo on the other hand are Execs, the guys sitting up there focusing on nothing but the money that comes in. I pray for a day that someone who care about the game for the joy it brings gets up to the top. Maybe then we can bring back the hype and joy of the game.

I wouldn't actually call this a win for BUNGIE. The dungeon itself is fun but in terms of launch it was an absolute joke. Having to disable the super of a subclass to ensure that the game works is not what I would call a W but the community seems to let it slide because it was the hunters' tether but imagine if it were the warlock's well instead. Some people will argue that you could've just not played hunter and instead play titan or warlock but the matter of fact is that you have to pay to have access to the dungeon and I don't think that it is fine to do so if you can't play with everything the game has to offer. I fear videos like these and many others will only serve to encourage BUNGIE's "do-the-bare-minimum" attitude when it comes to new content.

The higher-ups can be blamed for deciding to still release and sell the dungeon despite being aware of the issues it has but the devs are also to be held responsible for doing such a piss-poor job at making a fully functional dungeon. At the end of the day, as a consumer who pays for access to the dungeon, it is not our responsibility to make excuses for BUNGIE when they release a broken product. By your logic, I should not critique a restaurant if they served me crap food since the waiters provided me impeccable service.

this dungeon was fantastic tbh, after missing crota contest and sitting out on salvations edge; having another chance to experience contest was fun as hell and getting to beat after 11 hours of getting the mechanics and execution down perfectly was such a good feeling. i think after SE im clocked out in terms of raids, but I’m looking forward to contest mode dungeons.

This is the first dungeon i have had the pleasure of running. At first i felt that i was overwhelmed and not going to be able to complete it. 2 weeks ago i had finished it for the first time and have carried multiple teams through to completion. My next goal is to take my 12 year old through it this weekend. Its safe to say i love this dungeon.

As someone who had to solo clear openings to Lung and Heart, that first encounter was a nightmare. We had to dupe to clear it since everyone was making too many tiny mistakes. We had to stop at Raninks, we just didn't have the damage required. I just wish Bungie didn't go disabling everything.

Would love to see more things evolve and upgraded. Maybe even bring back old D2 raids and bosses with the in-lore reason of why they’re back being “in order to train guardians. Shaxx, Saint and Osiris decided to make full on simulations of past difficult threats in order to push a guardian’s limits on what they would do if they were there.” I’m very rusty on D2 lore but I’m pretty sure that Osiris managed to use the Corridors of Time before. If he could somehow do it again then he and the vanguard could possibly use it, or something similar to it, to send guardians through simulated (possibly upgraded) versions of iconic bosses, missions, and segments of D2’s past and maybe use it to bring back old campaigns, seasonal missions, and other stuff. D2 stuff only cause I want reasons to play D1 It would be cool, but I know that it could cause Bungie’s servers to explode and most of the money would go to them brand new cars anyway-

If Bungie forced people to stream a certain way, I hate to say it, but people would simply not stream. They would record the race locally and then submit it for proof, since that's all bungie requires. And requiring anything more would start edging into the unfair.

My only gripe with the dungeon is that the first boss encounter is pretty deciving on you needing to get all 4 numbers before putting in the code for no reason. There's no text, there's no sound, and the one thing that shows you that you are making progress (the triangle light things) dont reset. To say the least I was banging my head against what the highlighted dots amount in number and location on the servitors ment to figure out how to get 2 more numbers in one run for a bit. Besides that if I wanted to push it the lighting strikes vs Atraks are a bit visually confusing to keep track of but skill issue at the same time

Raeniks (we call him "Raycon Wireless Earbuds"): My team figured out quite quickly that there were (technically 10) numbered panels, going from 0-9, including number 0. We then realized that the servitors up top had numbers, but it took us a while longer to realize that the different (ergo: glowing ones) also had numbers that corresponded to the panels. Unfortunately, we did not pass the damage check for him in contest. But we got that! I'm proud of us :) 8-Track Tapes (Atraks): GOD we had trouble with this asshole. I personally hate how much movement there is, and how easy it (still) is to wipe in what we affectionally call "Tripmine Alley" where Atraks will come and follow you with radiation, also swiping at us. Fuck those guys. We end up taking our general time and avoiding the clones and their radiation. I try to grab suppressor and get them while my other two teammates shoot the switches and find the clone, and by that time, I'm done removing rad-shields and can join in on grabbing the nuke. It's rough!

Honestly I’m a little scared for the future of dungeons. Yes I think vesper is a great dungeon, but at a certain point we are gonna receive a wayyy too complex dungeon. Similar to how Ghost was to ad spammy an boss health was through the roof. I’m curious with how frontiers is gonna handle the one raid one dungeon a year, hopefully the dungeon doesn’t get overly complex with the mechanics and also has more loot than the stander amor, exotic and 4 guns route.

Honestly im thinking that we got enough different locations in this game that they should focus on fully fleshing out every location in it. I mean earth is the only planet where we have multiple places to go on it. I think destiny is due for some legit world building. Make me care about the places im playing in. We don't actually know if the Atraks in the dungeon was the real one, it could potentually be yet another clone that went out on its own and got corrupted, it's an excuse to reuse her model in the future, so I wouldn't be surprised if she returned again, and I wouldn't be opposed to it either, she's a cool character and there's still a lot we don't know about her.

I hated so much the toxic behavior of many racers during Salvation's Edge, mute and blur the screens was idk... it doesn't feel cool because I mean, yeah, it's a competition, and all of them wanna win, but it felt so cool when past raids and quests in destiny were more like a community goal, watch the stream audience trying to figure it out the puzzles with the teams was incredible from a collaborative perspective

I think destiny will recover in the future. There are still around ~100.000 people playing the game on average if you add up PSN + XBOX + Steam which is the dream of alot of liveservice games to grow such a fanbase at some point and thats destinys all time low. I also think influencer overreact on declining viewercounts instead of trying to improve their content. there are like 30 english speaking, nearly daily uploading channels that do the excact same content and thats very unique in the gaming industry that content creation like that was even possible.

Very good video but right now with personal experience, with lfg, fireteam finder, discord and with how complicated the mechanics is in this dungeon and some of the raids (the new ones not the old ones) and never finding anyone to do it with unless I have the Light level, how many clears or kwtd, and myself as a titan main and how they are irrelevant to end content now, I'm burnt out and maybe one of this days I might pick up and play again one day. But still a great video though still gave a thumbs up
