The durable Deutz 100 06 // 100 hp 6 cylinder air-cooled (!)

The D 10006 is a 100 hp model from the Deutz D-06 series, which succeeded the D 9006 from 1970 and was considered a "big tractor" at the time. The D 10006 was also offered as an all-wheel drive version (D 10006 A). In addition to the flat driver's platform, it had the standard six-speed engine ahead of its predecessor. Just two years later, the D 10006 was fundamentally revised. Deutz exchanged the ZF components for more powerful ones. The power lift came from the company, while the steering drive axle was contributed by Sige. In 1976, the "special" version followed as a further version, this time with the flexibly mounted cab from Fritzmeier. At the same time, the "Optitrac" self-locking differential could be ordered for the all-wheel drive variant.

Correction: the original 100 06 has a naturally aspirated 6 cylinder (F6L912) - without a turbo. The Deutz 130 006 has always a turbo (BF6L912). The second clip shows a 130 006, not a 100 006.

This is one great tractor. I have one that is approaching 9000 hours and it has been my most trouble free tractor. I have the 4wd version.

Richtig! Original der traktor hat keinen Turbo (original engine has no turbo). It's a naturally aspirated engine inline 6. Big engine displacement and no turbo means a long lasting engine life. Hence, the know reliability and durability of the 06 serie.

I had a 8006 (used) on demo ,never kept it as it had no wheel grip it was 2 wheel drive it was hopeless .
