I agree! I would ride more often if I had those around that want to go. It was a longer train than I have been on before. Sections of the trip took two engines.

Randy I’m glad that you enjoyed “riding along”. It’s one of my favorite things to do. I would ride again next week if someone wanted to go. I’ve been blessed to share the ride in person with many family members.

Did the train drop off any hikers or campers on the way up to Silverton ?

Not on this trip. We were on the third of three morning trains. I would guess that hikers go on the earlier trains.

Do you know the age of the engines they use ?

They were built in the early 1920’s so they are 100 years old.
