Looks about a million times more enjoyable and peaceful than the Rubicon. Cannot wait to escape city life and come here one day soon!

Great video. Yes, the NFS recommendation of at least 32" tires is at least 20 yeas old. Lol. Probably should be updated. Soft sierra dirt/sand mixed with boulders makes the trail tough. Also a very narrow trail in many spots, making it a bit more difficult for wider JK's.

Nice video but personally I’d rather hear the Jeeps and not music, even though it was peaceful music. I think an off-road video should be just that - we can listen to a music video if that’s what you like.

Awesome video, this is on the bucket list. Was everyone on 35 and higher tires? Sometimes it’s hard to tell on the video. I’m running 35’s and a 2.5 inch lift with sliders and diff armor and have a Rubicon. Think I’ll be fine or should I have a winch before I take this trail.
@515creative5 жыл бұрын
Thank you, everyone was on 35s except the Red XJ he's on 32. You don't need a winch but for sure you need to bring extra gas, it's all slow-speed rock crawling. The trail is beautiful with great spots to camp by the lakes. Call the ranger station before you go to make sure the gate is open.

What made it very tuff ? just cause its long ? or were there sections you had to winch or roll over ? How was the gas level did you guys have to bring extra ? I'm doing this trail this weekend with a few buddies
@515creative6 жыл бұрын
What made it tuff was the distance and slow-speed rock crawling, at Thompson Hill some parts you gonna need winch for easy clime, and for sure take extra gas. It's a great trail I think it's the most scenic trail in California. Have fun!

515Creative thanks man. Where did you guys stage your trailers if you brought any ? I was thinking voyager camp ground but just wanted your thoughts

Thanks for all the info man, The trail was rad. I ended up parking at a camp ground near Shaver lake. when I got to the park and ride spot, I talked to some Tow truck drivers that were hanging out there and they didn't recommend parking there cause there were a lot of tweakers in the area. Also good call on the gas I used about 19 gallons. my tank only holds 15.

What’s a “jeep trail?”

Great Video . I am a little concerned how much spotting was needed for this even on the easy short cuts like at 15:28, Has anyone in this video ever heard of 12volt air compressors? You could probably drive up half if not all you winched thru if you aired down!
@515creative5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Not too much spotting needed but there is a lot of huge rocks in the middle of the road and tight squeezes between trees.
