Dwarf is definitely one of those characters that's busted IF you're good enough at the game to survive the initial waves where he's a bit more fragile. And figuring out how to best use anvil makes it so you can really try a variety of weapons and always get legendaries. Picking shields is the optimal way to use the scaling armour for sure though.

To answer your question about when the butcher elite is harder than others it’s mobile. That elite is a death sentence for a run there. You just can’t survive

I think combing 2 purples and buying a blue actually loses you money, it’s gonna take anvil 2 turns to upgrade you’re items to legendary both ways.

There’s a funny bug in this mode I’ve discovered recently: if you restart a run with a character, who gets something at the start, it will get doubled. Starting with double Anvil is definitely NOT broken lmao Edit: it also breaks other characters, have been enjoying double infinte lately :D

If you are willing to go back to Diversified, there is a silly idea I want you to try. Play the Generalist with Boomerang and Shurken. So you have a melee weapon that scales with range and a range weapon that scales with melee

Oh come on it is a Dwarf, the stats should have been: - Start with Anvil - Armor modifications +25% - Health modifications +25% - Dodge modifications -100% - Attack speed modifications -50% - Speed modifications -50%
