Re: the McBeth spitout from last weekend they discuss around 35 minute mark: It was a beautiful putt but the spitback is almost inevitable when a disc comes in flat and hard dead center on the lower half of the pole because the recoil from hitting the pole goes straight back through the center of mass of the disc, if it had hit 6"-8" higher the chains would have a chance to pull the nose up before the disc hit the pole hopefully causing the disc to tumble into the basket instead (just like "floaty" putts that come in flat do because they enter "nose up" relative to their trajectory).

Eagle mentioned Discraft's Chainstar Pro basket. 32 chains in 3 layers. Disc never touches the pole if you putt to center. MVP has similar basket that has 3 layers of chains. They used that in one tournament last year, or early this season. Viewers complaint about spitouts from outer chains. This is what these guys talked about too. Do we want spitouts from great putts from the center and chainouts from outer chains. My vote goes to keep the center putts in. Bad thing about heavy chained baskets is that slow putts high don't really move the chains and disc can just fall off and drop to the ground.

MVP Matrix came out in 2016, it wasn't one of the first mids MVP made but I think it was first of their "modern" midranges. Real OG's were the Vector and the Axis, both now discontinued because the molds didn't fit MVP's upgraded equipment (also might be poorer sales I guess)
