The Philadelphia Eagles ended up losing to the Chicago Cardinals in the 1947 NFL Championship game, 28 (Chicago Cardinals) to 21 (Philadelphia Eagles) on Sunday, December 28, 1947. Philadelphia's first loss in a championship game after World War 2, the last time Philadelphia lost in the championship before this was in 1931 when Connie Mack's Philadelphia Athletics losing the 1931 World Series to the St. Louis Cardinals in seven games thanks to Pepper Martin.

Age of this film the footage is actually pretty good. Some of this old stuff it's very hard to tell the teams. Eagles were a good team that year

It's neat to see some footage of the Steelers' first playoff game, albeit, just those crucial ones for the Eagles. I imagine there's likely a more detailed film of the game to be found somewhere, even if a fairly brief one. I've read details that spoke to the troubles that the Steelers had in generating much offense, but it would be interesting to observe some of that action.

The Steelers used the single wing until 1953 when they switched to the T formation, the last team to do so. I looked at the 1947 Steelers football reference page. No QB listed, but a blocking back was listed.

The Steelers had a de facto playoff game vs. NY Giants on the last day of the 1963 season. Unfortunately they lost it.
