I am a thrifter and I learned all you have to do to see if it an original or a print of ant kind is take a magnifying glass and look at it. If you see small dots over the whole thing it is a print. If not than it is an original, water color, lithograph, oil, etc.

You need a jewelers loop get one with a light. Get one that offers 2 different strengths. Go to an art show and use it. Train your eye and a good day you will at least know the difference from water color, oil, litho, print ECT... However never ever think a print is worthless!! Just like costume jewelry some are worth a good bit of change !! Want to ever get the real value of a find from a master? Look up Dr. Lori V she has masters in art and of course her Dr degree! Its good to check prints with a jewlers loop to see if its dot matrix printing. Stone lithography is much higher quality.

Sorry for the useless information if this doesn't apply to you. But, never be afraid to buy Sqishmallows if they're dirty. They are 100% washable and dryable. If you've ever seen a tag on a new one you'll also see that they are OK for anyone 0+ years old. As far as which are more valuable online... I'm not sure how much to rely on that info. If someone collects cats or dogs. There are a bunch of different kinds of them out there. You can't even find a complete list of what's out there. If they sell for you on What Not then buy them. Someone out there might be in search of something they didn't even know that they wanted. Good luck... love the channel! 👍🙏

The Auction Professor has an older video that shows how to test if lithograph. I think he put tissue paper over a corner & lightly goes over it with pencil...if it transfers, it is a litho! The raised part on a litho is very subtle & you cant feel it with your hands. Thanks for a very informative video! Still learning after all these years!!!

I wonder what the reception would be if you filled the piñata with some small gift cards and small jewelry, etc., sell it on Whatnot and then break it open for the winner on the show and send them whatever is in it? That might be a fun mystery buy but might end up being a little expensive to fill.... Disappointing about the print, hopefully that is still worth something so you can make at least a little $$! Never heard of a silk lithograph. Maybe you were thinking of silk screen print? One way you can identify a copy (without taking it out of the frame) is if you look at it with a magnifying glass. A lithograph will have the ink uniformly dispersed, while a copy will have little dots (raster) or pixels of color.

The bottom of the lithograph was cut off. The white around the edge should be equal. The writing on the back might be the bottom.

On the old receipt, the digits in the phone number can help date. Some of us remember 7 digit numbers. The change to 10 digits happened June 1, 1997 - had to look that up.
