“They were people very much like us” “They drew pictures for a reason, maybe magic to influence the hunt, we can only guess” We make art for art’s sake. We draw because we like to and if we’re good at it we get compliments. Even if nobody sees our art we can’t not paint or draw. What people see in it can be totally different from person to person and day to day. The most logical reason why someone drew on the rocks: they could. They were good at it.

The time periods don’t add up, it’s not likely the Sahara became desert over 10,000 years ago because we have maps recording rivers and lakes, it would mean nomadic hunter gatherers possessed and passed on those maps, which would have had no value to them, for thousands of years.

Interesting, but I'm sure that even the creators of this documentary must realize that it's full of false information. I guess following the script of the Ministery of State for Antiquities Affairs of Egypt is the base requirement these days to even get access to the country at all...we certainly couldn't have real information (even though it's all mostly guesses anyway) floating around out there or alternative views that happen to make more sense than the established narrative. I had the expectation this was going to be incorrect and not contain anything ground breaking when the opening line they give us is that the great pyramids were tombs -- it doesn't take a scholar to know that they were never tombs and weren't even constructed by the Egyptians. They were inherited/found structures that were later mimicked (to an extremely inferior degree, since most people don't realize Egypt has something like 120 discovered pyramids and they're all junk in comparison to the ones in Giza). Anyway, I'm not going to write an essay here outlining the whole show and where they went wrong, most will know haha Cheers!

@@GagnierAfor one. Your assumptions regarding what the pyramids are not, Are astoundingly naive and clearly indicate you havnt spent any time seriously learning about them. Ask yourself why would monumental structures built in a necropolis (cemetery), surrounded by contemporaneous tombs, and have been found to contain sarcophagi, burials and human remains, and some of which have funerary texts, among other funerary material cultural evidence be something other than a tomb? And Why are the adjacent and attached pyramid complex buildings constructed for funerary and memorial purposes? I recommend starting with a basic book on these and learn some basic facts about these fascinating structures and the ancient Egyptian culture. ‘The Complete Pyramids’ by Mark Lehrner is a good book to start with. -cheers

@@ryann6067 Are you even above the age of 20? You don't seem to have a grasp on even conversational skills. I'm not going to go back and forth with someone that doesn't understand objective proof. If your only point of contention is that the pyramids were tombs, every legitimate archeologist on the planet agrees that they aren't tombs. There was never any bodies or sarcophagi in any of the Great Pyramids, let alone to state, there is no writing anywhere on the walls within like with the lesser pyramids like those that are in the Valley of Kings and surrounding areas that ARE tombs made by the Egyptians (and, I'll add, are of horrendous quality by any comparison). What the Egyptians actually built are essentially terrible cardboard copycat structures and it goes to show that they weren't the ones to build the Great Pyramids on the Giza Plateau. The way technology works within a civilization or organized group is that it starts at a base level and only gradually gets better from there. If they had the means and ability to build those, why is it that every pyramid they built afterward through the centuries got worse and worse and are all crumbling and crooked messes? Technology and ability within a civilization doesn't get worse to that extent. They found the structures as a landmark, adopted them and built around them. It's the only thing that makes logical sense. Perhaps they had a formal function of some kind and there are alot of great ideas emerging about that, but we'll never actually know for real unless the documentation is found and shared.
