The early years of Bata (Documentary)

Bata was founded by three siblings with a small inheritance in the town of Zlin, Czechoslovakia on August 24, 1894. It was one of the world’s first shoe “manufacturers”; a team of stitchers and shoemakers creating footwear not just for neighbours, but for distant retail merchants.
Less than 10 years later, Bata produced 2200 pairs per day, employing resourceful imaginations, skilled hands and modern machinery to keep up with demand. Innovative shoes styles were developed with new customer-sensitive ways to promote them. And despite the outbreak of the First World War, material shortages, manpower shortages, and cartels, sales increased to about two million pairs per year by 1917. The Bata legacy had just begun.
In Zlin, Bata built housing, schools and hospitals around the factory for its workers and their families- a design it would replicate in other parts of the world in years to come. Bata provided inexpensive rent and food during very difficult times, because founder Tomas Bata firmly believed business should serve the public.

Bata has become one of my trusted shoe brand. Bata here are 100% Made In Malaysia and Singapore. I just knew Bata is from Czech after I watched Ivana Trump biography video where her parents are working in Bata factory in Zlin, Chech. Bata give reasonable price and affordable for the average people. Thanks Bata for your existence. Long live Bata ;))

I live in Belcamp Maryland. Bata shoe is long gone from here and so are their former employees. They died of mesothelioma from working in the Bata plant.

Workers of Bata Shoe Company Bangladesh Limited Tongi and Dhamrai projects are being tortured here....On the last 24/09/2020 ,210 workers were laid off with various threats......The workers are told that if you do not sign the papers,you will not get the money... They make this threat...The management of the company and the leaders of the workers union are very bad....They are not even paying the fair wages of the workers ....The workers here get a salary of tk 20,000 a month and they are not given any opportunity ... please judge... please seek justice from the company

we all existed what bata gives today medical shoes or casual shoe with no reason it been thrown in to garbage have bata knows about india diabetic centre does bata runs business for speical disable people , running a factory for prosetheitc shoes for people medical fitness itself higly imbalance today proportion to weight standards should be corrected today all the display should move instead shoes manufacture should discover what are the possible effect using foot wear or without using foot wear what to be corrected there should be same level automobile to look most of the time focussing on crash test but still there are more failures to bring best safety air bags safety body so that people can be saved deaths are not changed or not reduce just by crash hitting the wall, hitting the tree, or any thing cars damages are more and it is not use even to reuse that the level of crashes crash test stil not got in to great hands of technology and fact finding for indian modes of passenger car or light motar vechile be it two wheelr or four wheeler but shoes should can possibly look for safety measure why shoes always tested to rigidity and test they made testing and development of shoes should be compulosry and retaining the quality and bringing new standards of warranty and guarantte for indian shoes makers most possible time there is no support today busienss
