Fun fact (facts): The 'O' in the 'o' sound in the Korean alphabet isn't even the 'o' sound. The circle is placed if a vowel is pronounced on its own, so technically he could say that any vowel is 'o'. Also, if it's placed on the lower half, it represents the 'ng' sound, which looks nothing like the 'o' mouth shape anyway. Lastly, the sign with the 'o' letter he was holding up is upside down.

Yeah, as a beginner Korean learner, I've seen that the Korean language isn't that hard, it's actually pretty easy. First I started learning Spanish and then I was like 'nope nope too hard'. For me, as a Indian, the vowels and consonants are easy to pronounce since there are many consonants and vowels which are pronounced the same... And it is pretty easy to write also...

Actually korean does have silent letters and words that aren't pronounced as they are written due to sound change rules. For example : 앉다 (meaning: to sit down) is read as (ann-da) despite having a ㅈ. Dont forget TONS of conjugations, polite, formal and informal. Korean is a hard language. Only memorizing the 한글 (alphabet) is easy
@quitiwascherr Жыл бұрын
Not to forget all consonant sounds that change based on their position. ㅅ is “s” but as a bottom consonant it becomes “t” (like ㅌ)

You’re korean that’s why you are trying to boost your language’s difficulty. It’s not hard. Every language has informal and formal, every language has tons of conjugations. Have you seen french’s conjugation, Kurdish has more than 5 past conjugations Have you seen spanish’s conjuagtions? Every language has lots of conjugations, Dont think your language has special formal and informal and “polite” these arent even special because 1. It’s easy 2. Every language has formal + informal.

Nope. How about this. 앉다 - sit (pronounced anda) (formality -neuter) 앉아- sit (pronounced anja). (formality -informal) Just like French, there are a lot of sounds that are only pronounced when there is a vowel next to it, and hence those silent letters are quite necessary for Korean

Nas is talking nonsense! Korean language have no difference of tone since they change to use Hangul system,then there is a problem, in a word which group up by certain alphabet could be represent several meaning so is it a easy language? Compare to Japanese language they use both traditional Chinese alphabet and Katakana & Hiragana system which similar to Hangul system ,so that Japanese can remain their traditional ,easy to learn and easy to differentiate the meaning of a word.

Frankly speaking I've been learning chinese for as long as I remenber and I can tell It's not that hard though. For me chinese=math since she follow a set of logical rules in writing as well as grammar. Also there is piyin that is really helpful especially when you are clueless about the writing system. The only difficulty, especially for latin languages speaker, is the "TONES" since the chinese vocabluary is easy but a single syllable can have a different meaning cuz of the tone she is sayed with. And finally, I can say that It's indeed true that compared with the chinese writting system the hangul one is far more easy but when It come to vocabluary It's the total opposite. P-s: Sorry for the long essay but I tought It was needed to point the difference between the two.

Japanese alphabet is also the easiest, it has 46 characters and you can also type it in your keyboard, and the japanese alphabet also has combinations with K, S, T, N, H, and R. also it has 41 consonants and 5 vowels just like in the english alphabet but in different spots like in english: A E I O and U. Also Japanese has jumbled vowel orders like A, I, U, E and O. Sometimes in English, Y can either be a consonant or a vowel. Good luck figuring that out!!!
