This is honestly the best way to get to the lost river. Yes, it leads into the ghost forest which has a juvenile ghost leviathan but just go into the entrance on the far left since the ghost leviathan is on the right and thus won't attack you. If your entering with a seamoth, use sonar and perimiter defense system so you don't get lost and can keep an eye on the ghost leviathan and fend it off just in case it attacks you. If your entering with a cyclops, use sonar, silent running, and sheild generator for the same reasons listed above.

Tip: If you plan on a resource run into the Lost River, bring a lot of cured food and water. It should be apparent already that you should bring the Cyclops because it has built in storage. Don't worry about taking damage in the gas if you have your prawn suit.

For anyone having a hard time finding this like I was the entrance to the blood kelp forest is exactly between north and north west and is 1109m from the 0 point on the map or 3 ticks left of north and 1103m from the life pod :)

I would be careful having your lights on because crab squids can disable your seamoth completely because they don't like light. Also I'm pretty sure a semi-safer way would be if you go to the degasi habitat that is 500m in the grand reef if you just keep going down it will lead you to it (i think).

Great entrance, I had no issues going in, got plenty of nickel from the Cove tree and even managed to get rubies on the way out. However I did get attacked by the Ghost Leviathan, still managed to make it out though. I highly reccomend entering here its fast and easy compared to the other blood kelp trench entrance.

For those who need to be prepared for the place. I go here being prepared to get lost. I bring the interior planter, and 4 trees of lantern fruit set up inside the cyclops. Those fruit covers the hunger and thirst part. That and complete set of resources for biogenerator, the room+hatch for it, and scanner+upgrades. The lantern fruit can be used for the generator, and if you bring both big and small battery chargers, you have enough to be lost inside it indefinitely. When everything gets low power, just build a room and generator then use the fruit and recharge all the battery again. Lantern fruit give you food, water, and electrical stuff. Set your forward operation base on the tree area which is the safest area for the whole game. Then you can scour up the area from there.

I kinda wanted to fight it but why bother, it didn't saw me so not gonna waste oxygen on that... Also, I knew there was a "safe" area in the lost river (just didn't knew how to get there), so I went with my prawn suit with a couple of cargo expansions and enough materials to build: A Moonpool, a Fabricator, a Vehicle upgrade Station, a Thermal Generator, a Reinforcement for the wall, a Storage thing and an Energy Transmitter... enough for a quick Pit stop... I was picking a thermal vent to start, then once I finished my base, when I resumed the video I just saw that turns out the Vent I chose is the one closest to the entrance of the Lava zone...

Had a delay tho... got down of my prawn suit on the Thermal plant to activate and use the portal... when I got back, my prawn suit was clipping through the floor... and I saved After going throught the portal... and I couldn't get it out, so I had to make a new one... luckily I was able to rescue the upgrades of my old prawn suit... and also learned late I could go through the portals with it... but besides that everything went well! I tried eliminating the first Sea Dragon but it would take an eternity by Stasis rifle and normal knife so I figured out it'd be easier to just ignore/dodge it

I think I have a plan, I’ll finish making my Cyclops a mobile base, then, I’ll head there in my Seamoth, set the beacon, and head back. Then I’ll take the Cyclops with the Prawn Suit, set up a small habitat there for long-term-ish storage and for another place to put my Prawn Suit. i use the south entrance in the deep grand reef. only one ghost leviathan between that and cove tree and if you use the cyclops on ahead show and silent running he will get within 10 meters and ignore you if he did attack i would have activated the shield and dropped a decoy. i like this entrance because all the alien stuff is right on the way and you don't have to search for it

I have explored it in creative it's what i would say the best pad to choose only issue is that there is a ghost leviathan on the outside but you can easily by pass him and as he told stay on the left so you won't run on the leviathan on the inside. other than that great tutorial.

Not rlly, bro just manually save at your life pod and then follow this guide. If you’re sea moth ends up getting destroyed then quit the game without saving and load back in and you’ll be back where you started

Yeah... going there with full depth upgrades isn´t gonna happen. You need Kyanite for that... Except for the seamoth. Nice guide, though! It´s really annoying trying to search for this without it, everything wants to kill you, and even the cyclops is really weak against those reapers.

@@theaveragefridaynightfunki4199 Scan for hull and bridge fragments in the mushroom forest, thats where I got mines. You can get engine fragments in the aurora, but if you don’t manage to complete the blueprint, check out the underwater islands. Lots of bone sharks tho.

I used cheat on to go there for my live stream because I was near the end and was to scared to go there so I need cheat code for unlimited health and no dealing with anything pretty much creative but I created new survival to do without cheats when I'm ready ima go there without cheats and keep new underwear near me just in case i wanna beat it normal before subnautica below zero i pre-order
