A hack my friend shared with me when it comes to Choclate pie crust, before adding filling, poor hardening Choclate sauce you'd find in the Ice-cream section at the store into the crust and spread it around evenly, then put it in the freezer to harden so you have a second layer of Choclate to the crust. And if you're doing a penut butter pie, there is always the reese's brand hardening sauce!!

Looks delicious. This gives me the idea that you can make any flavor of pie if you stick with the 1 3/4 cup milk for any flavor pudding. So you can use a regular graham cracker crust, banana pudding, and top it with sliced bananas. Or maybe use vanilla pudding and top it with strawberries. So on and so forth. Yum.

per box correct, not for both boxes? That is what confused me... I know she mixes half with whipped cream, but, each box, which is also pie mix, calls for two cups of milk per box... Total of 4 cups of milk... She said 1 3/4 cups of milk for all of it... So I have not tried..

Made this last night for today. So yummy and easy. First time a pudding pie held together for me. A keeper for sure. Had to go to 3 stores before I could find a chocolate pie crust. Stores were almost completely out of all ready crust flavors. Please prep. We need sweet comfy foods in hard times too.

He passed away stage four pancreatic cancer last year I didn’t cook much this pass year but I’m starting to make a come back and will enjoy your dishes again . I would probably and will do a shaved or med grated dark chocolate on top just for a little bitterness to counter balance the sweet. Going to make this, this weekend. Great video! Thinking a red raspberry drizzle on top too we'll see. I may make 2 and the 2nd layer add Nestle expresso powder to the second pie.

My brother is diabetic, I subbed in the sugar free pudding, and Cool Whip, he really enjoyed it and didn’t even ask if it was sugar free. I stayed with the same crust, and I shaved some chocolate curls from the edges of a Hershey’s bar. It was good!

I know what you mean on making the whipped cream. I never know the best time to add the sugar without it staying crystallized and what speed to beat it or whether you alternate for speed

I made this pie yesterday for a pool party and my guests inhaled it!! I didn’t even get a piece for myself!! I did just a couple of changes: I used a graham cookie shell instead of a chocolate one and topped it with mini marshmallows. Other than that I kept the recipe the same.
