I'm 17 now, got my license after a week of lessons because since I was super young I'd ask my dad what he was doing when he was driving, as I got older I'd watch videos and pay attention to what my dad was doing, first Manual car I drove was the driving school car and my first stall wasn't even on the forst day, it was a panic stall in the middle of an intersection😂 thanks to vids like vids on this channel I wasn't starting from 0

Passed today with 6 minors, tip for everyone, if you stall, don’t think it’s over, take a breather and start again, I stalled three times, twice on a hill about to emerge onto a main road😅. So just stay calm if you make a mistake, chances are that they are just small minors

Most of it is totally unnecessary. The driving instructors themselves don't do most of it.

i got told off for not stopping for a pedestrian on a crossing exactly like that, no zebra markings, island in the middle etc on a busy road and was told off for not stopping, im at the point with my instructor now where im tempted to swap because ive been with him for well over a year and a huge amount of things he tells me seem to contradict what im being told by other people who have just passed their test or have been told by their instructor as well as what i see from multiple channels of these mock videos and lessons by instructors

If you feel that you need to change instructors maybe it’s time to do so because your next instructor may help with the areas you’re not even aware of. I changed instructors and I passed with my second instructor.

You instructor should teach you clutch control and when you learn that you should be able to make the car stay still or you can use the handbrake until u find bite and gas then release to go

There are a number of organisations that do under age driving instruction on private roads. Generally these are at fixed locations on closed off sections of disused aerodromes etc. very expensive.

You can only drive on public roads if you have a provisional license when you are 17 and you must be supervised by an experienced driver and you can get a provisional license when your 15yrs 9mths but cant actually drive in public until 17 sadly

I’m not sure abt the UK but In the U.S. (where I live which is MA) you need to be 15 and 6 month’s to do 30 hours of online instruction for drivers Ed then when you turn 16 you can get your permit and practice driving at home (40 hours) and do 12 driving lessons.

@@joshuajohn74 You may apply for a UK driving licence at 15.8 years of age. This is so that on your 16th birthday you have it in your possession. 16 is the minimum age at which you are allowed to motor on public roads and you are restricted on vehicle type. This only leaves mopeds as your option as I understand it. When your 17th birthday occurs you may drive cars as a learner on the same licence.

I'm pretty sure you do need to be 17 for a car aka "category B". You can learn to drive certain vehicles like a moped earlier, at 16, iirc www.gov.uk/vehicles-can-drive/ at least, that's what this site claims
