I have a suspicion that Paradox might nerf fluctuating your military spending so rapidly. Perhaps they'll add a cooldown or some other type of time-gate.

The power projection should just be tied to total offense and Defense since changing spending causes shortages for a bit of time.

Paradox is really annoying at nerfing all of these features which make it possible so that GPs don't join your enemy.

@@totalwar1793 Tbf though its not very accurate for tiny nations to be swinging their military around conquering land as they see fit without intervention but it does suck that the war aspect is so limited by design and doesnt allow nations to send small detachments in a way that doesnt necessarily require them to be in a total war situation it would be much better to have nations like GB France or Russia throwing 20-30 divisions here and there instead of mobilizing their entire army because I want to conquer California as Portugal lmao.

I played many times Colombia, once I unified South America I kind of got bored, one great way to conquer with low infamy is by making puppets of Equador and Venezuela, you annex them by forming Gran Colombia. I used their army to puppet also Perù, Chile and Bolivia. Making puppets and annexing them, if it doesn't go wrong, is a very fun strategy

Love the video! Question though. Is there a particular reason why you choose to conquer states rather than puppet with the intent to annex them when you form the nation?

I can't puppet Venezuela immediately because they are the same rank as me.

I’be actually came up with a way faster way to form Gran Colombia with Venezuela. You just need to have the most military wages possible, only search Military technologies and build agriculture to export in Europe. In 1 year or 2 you’ll be so OP compared to New Grenada and Ecuador. Great video though.

I suggest starting as Venezuela. You can promise a useless of New Granada to pull Brazil in the first war. You can pull the same Brazil-pull trick on Bolivia/Peru and grab some great provinces from them.
