‼️Yeah but it doesn't stay in straight hair. Literally it will start to fall down pretty much immediately and within an hour it's basically completely ruined. So definitely try this hairstyle out at home when you have nothing to do and nowhere to go first just so you see if it holds in your hair. You don't want to do this, head out to school for the day and have your hair basically fall down and be weird and messed up for the whole day

It’s called a flat twist, in the black community we use this as a method to take out for some nice volume and curls. Keep your fingers close to your head to maintain tightness and all should workout 🤗

I got the perfect braids on the 2nd try, just do it tight and take more hair when twisting so it is visible specially if you have black hair! Thanks a lot for this trick❤

These are called flat twist for anyone curious. No, this isn’t cultural appropriation even though it is mainly used in the black community. Tip of advice, if it’s a cultural appropriation hairstyle, it’s most likely cause it’s not meant for your hair type. A lot of styles people say that people shouldn’t do, are typically because it’s very damaging, or could ruin your hair.
@JaiK64
@JaiK64 Ай бұрын
Its only culture appropriation if the people see these comments about what type of hairstyle it is and choose not to acknowledge it. So if she's genuinely clueless about them being flat twists then it's not cultural appropriation.

Normally I start higher up because it is more satisfying to see it all rolled together and then into a braid. Less damage too. I have very curly hair and braided dry before gym was tearing my hear. Now I twist and ties it down. Takes less time and better for hair
